I’m 19 and a half now. It’s been almost 2 years since my vampire boyfriend left
me in the forest a few days after my dreadful 18th birthday when Jasper attacked me. Now
I’m in college. Clolumbia College to be exact.
RRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG! The sound of my phone pulls me out of my thinking. I
grab the phone.

“Hello?” I answer.

“Hi, is this Bella speaking?” a voice asks me.

“Uh, yeah, this is Bella.”

“Okay, well we need a substitute teacher for 2 weeks since one of our teachers is
pregnant, and no one else can do it.”

“Oh, sure Max! The semester just got over, so I’ll be able to do it”

“Thanks Bella, I appreciate it.”

“Bye”

“Bye”

--2 Days Later—

I look over the notes that Mrs. Heinrich has left me for her English Class.

Thank you for substituting for me. I really hope that the students are on their best
behavoir. We are reading Gone with the Wind now, so you won’t have to do much except
for assigning the homework. The students need to read 3 chapters every 2 days with
notes. If any students cause any trouble just write their name down on a sheet of paper.
Just to inform you, we have 5 new students in this class, so make sure they read chapters
1-9 as soon as possible.

Basically, I just sit in a Senior class of students, and tell them to read 3 chapters and take
notes. Not that hard. The part that I absoloutely dread is the fact that I’m stuck in a
classroom full of 17 and 18 year old guys for 7 hours a day for the next 2 weeks, plus any
detention time that I know that students are bound to get.

The bell rings, and the first students pour into the classroom. Yippe, time for my 7 hours
of torture for the day to begin. When the late bell rings, I look out at the class. “ Hello,
my name is Ms Swan. I’ll be you’re teacher for the next 2 weeks. You’re teacher wants
you to continue reading Gone with the Wind, so start reading chapters 10-12.” I notice 3
students staring at me. God, why do I have to be stuck for 7 hours with guys who are
already staring at me?? Just then, the door opens, and the principal walks in with 2
students, who I assume are new kids. When I look over I recognize Alice Cullen and
Jasper Hale.
