Let us enjoy reading this story of Pride has A Fall.

Gorelal was a famous sculptor. His sculptures looked real ones. One day he saw a
dream that after fifteen days, the demon of Death would come to take him. Gorelal
prepared nine statues of himself and when on the 15th day he heard the Demon of
Death coming, he took his place between the statues. The Demon could not
recognise him and was astonished to see ten Gorelals instead of one. He rushed
back to the God of death and told the matter. The God of death got annoyed and set
out to take Gorelal himself. Gorelal was alert and stood motionless. The God of
Death initially got perplexed. But he thought for a moment. He said, “Gorelal, these
sculptures would have been perfect but for one mistake." Gorelal was unable to
suffer the least blemish in his work. He came out and asked, "Where is the fault?"
God of Death caught him and said, “HERE". The statues were faultless but Gorelal
was caught because of his pride.

He gurgled hard. He tried to swallow. He tried to spit it out. But nothing worked out.
The bone won't move. He got afraid.

"If I can't take the bone out, I can't eat. I will die of hunger", he thought sadly.

Suddenly he remembered the crane who lived nearby. He thought, "The crane has a
long neck. She can reach and take out the bone". So off he went to the crane and
said, "Please take out the bone from my neck. I will pay good".

The crane took out the bone and asked for her fees.

The wolf replied "Aren't you happy that you put your head into my mouth and got it
2
out safely? Forget the fees.”

MORAL : Good for the evil are fast forgotten.

THE 4 WIVES

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and
adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her
and gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to
show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she
might run away with some other men.

He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in
fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he
always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him
through difficult times.

Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great
contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the
household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved
him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon.
He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, "Now I have 4 wives with me. But
when I die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be!"

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing
and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep
me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another
word.

The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant's heart. The sad merchant
then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying,
will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so
good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and
turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always
helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep
me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the
very most, I can only send you to your grave." The answer came like a bolt of
thunder and the merchant was devastated.

Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go."
The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like
she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have
taken much better care of you while I could have !"

3
Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives

a. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making
it look good, it'll leave us when we die.

b. Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to
others.

c. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there
for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

d. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth
and sensual pleasure.

Guess what? It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Perhaps it's
a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now rather than to wait until we're on our
deathbed to lament

A Moral Story : Sheba and

The Monkey

Let us enjoy reading this story of Sheba and The Monkey.

Sheba, the queen of jungle, was very fond of babies. Once, she announced, "I order
all animals to come to my palace with their babies. The animal who has the most
beautiful baby will be awarded a prize".

All animals came to Sheba's palace with their babies.

Sheba started inspecting the babies one by one. She came to a monkey and said
"What an ugly baby! You will not get the prize".

The baby monkey started to cry. The monkey said, "What a foolish queen she is!
Who wants her prize! You are my jewel, my dear child. You are more precious than
anything under the sky".

MORAL : Mother’s love has no equals.

PUPPIES FOR SALE

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the
pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the
last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of
a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these
puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he

4
pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. "I've got thirty-nine cents.
Is that enough to take a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,"Here,Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of
fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with
delight.

As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring
inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared; this One noticeably smaller.
Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner the little pup began
hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy.
He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling
up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both
sides of his leg attaching itself To a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the
farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need Someone
who understands."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands.

Wait For The Brick

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going
a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between
parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car
passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He
slammed on the brakes and drove the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been
thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and
pushed him up against a parked car, shouting, "What was that all about and who are
you?
Just what the heck are you doing?
That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.
Why did you do it?"
The young boy was apologetic. "Please mister ... please, I'm sorry... I didn't know
what else to do," he pleaded.
"I threw the brick because no one else would stop..."
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just
around a parked car.
"It's my brother," he said.
"He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get
him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his

5
throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took
out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look
told him everything was going to be okay.

"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.
Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the little boy push his wheelchair-
bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to
the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair
the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: Don't go
through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have
time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us.

It's our choice: Listen to the whisper ... or wait for the brick!

A Box Full of Kisses

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for
wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated
when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless,
the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you,
Daddy."

The man was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again
when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, "Don't you know,
when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The
little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty
at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Daddy."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her
forgiveness.

Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the child. It is also told that her
father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was
discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child
who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold
container filled with unconditional love and kisses... from our children, family
members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold,
more precious than this.

The Wooden Bowl

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and a four-year old
grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step

6
faltered. The family ate together nightly at the dinner table. But the elderly
grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult. Peas rolled
off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass often milk spilled on the
tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. "We must
do something about grandfather," said the son. I've had enough of his spilled milk,
noisy eating, and food on the floor. So the husband and wife set a small table in the
corner. There, grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner at the
dinner table. Since grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a
wooden bowl. Sometimes when the family glanced in grandfather's direction, he had
a tear in his eye as he ate alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were
sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old
watched it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on
the floor. He asked the child sweetly, "What are you making?" Just as sweetly, the
boy responded, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food
from when I grow up." The four-year-old smiled and went back to work. The words so
struck the parents that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down
their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That
evening the husband took grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family
table.

For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some
reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was
dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled. Children are remarkably perceptive.
Their eyes ever observe, their ears ever listen, and their minds ever process the
messages they absorb. If they see us patiently provide a happy home atmosphere
for family members, they will imitate that attitude for the rest of their lives. The wise
parent realizes that every day that building blocks are being laid for the child's future.

Let us all be wise builders and role models. Take care of yourself, ... and those you
love, ... today, and everyday!

EAGLES IN A STORM

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it
breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm
hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While
the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises
on the winds that bring the storm.

7
When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can
rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not
have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure
and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

 Alexander Fleming

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to
eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He
dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a
terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad
from what could have been a slow
and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An
elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the
boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life."
"No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the
offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked. "Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education.
If the lad is anything like his father, he'll grow to a man you can be proud of."
And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Hospital
Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as
the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the nobleman's son was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved him? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.

Someone once said what goes around comes around.

Dads Blessings

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had
admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could
well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had
purchased the car.  Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called  him
into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son,

8
and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift
box.  Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and
found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.
Angry, he raised his voice to his father and said "With all your money, you give me a
Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a
beautiful home and  wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and
thought perhaps he should go  to  him.  He had not seen him since that graduation
day.  Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his
father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to
come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.
He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible,
just as he had left it  years ago.  With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn
the pages.  And as he did, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible.  It had a tag
with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On
the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss Spirit's blessings and answers to our prayers  because
they do not arrive exactly as we have expected?

TODAY'S's affirmation:  "Today I look beyond the obvious and allow miracles to be
created in my life."

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness,
Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was
announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and
left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible
moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,

"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is
no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity,
please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity
answered.

9
Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear
when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So
blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.
When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was
owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable
of understanding how valuable Love is."

Mothers day - inspiring story about mother

( an inspiring motivational story )

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who
lived two hundred miles away.
As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing.
He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my
mother.
But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars."
The man smiled and said, "Come on in with me. I'll buy you a rose."
He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother's flowers.
As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home.
She said, "Yes, please! You can take me to my mother."
She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.
The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet
and drove the two hundred miles to his mother's house.

I Will Survive.

I Will Survive. : Gloria Gaynor

First I was afraid

I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to get along
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me

Go on now go, walk out the door

just turn around now
you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I'll survive
as long as I know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive

It took all the strength I had

not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person

11
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I'm saving all my loving
for someone who's loving me

Go on now go, walk out the door

just turn around now
you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I'll survive
as long as I know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive

We Are The Champions.

We Are The Champions. : by Queen

I've paid my dues

Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through

We are the champions - my friends

And we'll keep on fighting - till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

I've taken my bows

And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune
and everything that goes with it
I thank you all

12
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose

We are the champions - my friends

And we'll keep on fighting - till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

Casabianca
Casabianca :
The boy stood on the burning deck,
Whence all but him had fled.
The flame that lit the battle's wreck
Shone round him o'er the dead.
Yet beautiful and bright he stood,
As born to rule the storm.
A creature of heroic blood,
A proud, though childlike form.
The flames rolled on-he would not go
Without his father's word.
That father, faint in death below,
His voice no longer heard.
He called aloud: "Say, Father say
If yet my task is done!"
He knew not that the chieftain lay
Unconscious of his son.
"Speak, Father!" once again he cried,
"If I may yet be gone!"
-And but the booming shots replied,
And fast the flames rolled on.
Upon his brow he felt their breath,
And in his waving hair.
And looked from that lone post of death,
In still, yet brave despair.
And shouted but once more aloud,
"My Father! Must I stay?"
While o'er him fast, through sail and shroud,
The wreathing fires made way.
There came a burst of thunder sound-
The boy-oh! Where was he?
-Ask of the winds that far around
With fragments strewed the sea!
