2. Denotes part of a whole (Partitive Genitive/Genitive of the Whole)

quid novi
what news (what of news)

plus cibi
more food (more of food)

nimium vini
too much wine (too much of wine)

3. Indicates quality + adjective (Genitive of Quality)

magnae auctoritstis es
your reputation is great (you are of great reputation)

longae memoriae sum


my memory is long (I am of long memory)

4. Value or worth (Genitive of Value)
