bringing greater transparency to the legislative process. Toward that end, we request that you
‘make fully transparent your process of identifying regulations that negatively impact the
economy and jobs.
Specifically, we request that you post on the Oversight Committee's website the letters
you sent last month to 150 companies, trade groups, and research organizations seeking their
identification of federal regulations that negatively impact the economy and jobs as well as any
responses to those letters you receive. Transpareney and accountability in government rely
heavily on knowing those groups and individuals that have provided input into the governmental
decision-making process. Providing public access to this information will not only further those
goals, but also increase public confidence in the work of your committee,
