• North Dakota received $58 million in tobacco settlement payments and taxes in FY10.3

Excise Tax: There is a tax of $0.44 per pack on cigarettes. The tax on cigar and pipe tobacco is
28% of the wholesale purchase price. There is a tax of $0.16 per ounce on chew tobacco and
$0.60 per ounce on snuff.
