Plates:

Carbon & Carbon Manganese Steels:

Sulphur and phosphorus shall not be more than 0.05 %, and carbon shall not be more
than 0.25 %. Manganese varies from 0.4 to 0.9 for carbon steels and from 0.9 to 1.4 % for
manganese steels with higher strength. These materials can be used for Max. Metal
temperature of 4540C
Normally available/used standards: IS 2002, BS 1501, SA 515/516

Carbon Molybdenum Steel:

Sulphur and phosphorus shall not be more than 0.05 %, and carbon shall not be more
than 0.21 %. Manganese varies from 0.4 to 0.9 and molybdenum from 0.25 to 0.6 %
