Group Website
As a group we had trouble picking our topic. We originally were going to make a website
about the drug wars on the border. For us we had to think of something that most people
wouldn’t think of, something unique. After a week, we decided. To us this was the best topic to
the world for us. We all were hanging out at our park when we saw a dog barking. He was
skinny and to us it seem like he wanted to be free. We thought about all our dogs and their
faces if they were treated like the one that we saw. This were our topic was brought upon.
After school we went to the public library to see if they had any books on this topic. We
found one book. The book was called”Animal Rights.” This book had much information for us to
use on our website. However, we still got more books through the library book trade. We would
meet up every day over there. In the end, the library was a lot of help to us. Also, Luis’ sister
gave us several brochures and magazines that talked about animal rights. These were very
helpful because they come from the very big animal activist groups such as PETA.
We selected our presentation category by considering which one we can write the most
information on. This is when we came down to the website. Two of us already had experience
in history fair. One of us two had done a website just the previous year so we were pretty
confident with our choice. And this would also be a good experience for our youngest member
of our group. Plus, this would make it easier for us to cooperate on the project. We created our
project by studying our brochures and information. We then went to Weebly to start our
website. We picked our website background, chose our pictures, and then just went to
business.
Animal rights is one of the biggest debate around the world. We thought that this would
be really great. The diplomacy comes in with all the laws that are constantly passed to at least
help these animals a lot. There are many successes in animal rights that come no matter what it
is. They range from laws passed to going vegan. The failures come from all of the deaths that
animals suffer from every year. There are consequences for the people who treat animals
badly.
