 Greeting Shop Hoppers! 
Welcome to the 12th Annual Western Washington Quilt Shop Hop.  
This brochure is a directory of the locally owned quilt shops from 
Lynden to Vancouver.   The shop’s ads include directions and phone 
numbers to help you navigate your way to all 54 shops.  The first 
step is for you to pick up your passport at any participating shop  
after June 1st, 2010. 
 

SHOP HOP HOURS 
All participating shops will be open 
9am to 8pm  ‐ Wednesday to Saturday 
10am to 5pm ‐ Sunday 
 

Get your passport stamped at each shop that you visit during the 
Hop.  To be eligible for prizes, you will turn in a passport stamped by 
at least 16 shops by Sunday at 5pm.  Make sure your name, address, 
phone number, and email address is printed clearly on the passport.  
If we can’t read your information we will be unable to contact you.  
Also check the box indicating that you are 21 or older (this allows us 
to call you if you are a winner).

BLOCK KITS 
As you travel on the shop hop, you will have your passport stamped 
at each shop and you will receive a kit for a quilt block that will in‐
clude the block pattern created by the individual shop as well as 
three fabrics.  Children under 10 will have a special passport and will 
receive a four inch square of novelty fabric.

 FABRICS 
Our Shop Hop fabrics have been designed exclusively for the Western  
Washington Quilt Shop Hop by In The Beginning Fabrics and Clothworks.   
 
Individual shops will provide one piece of the Shop Hop theme fabric from In 
The Beginning, one piece of a coordinate fabric from Clothworks, and one  
fabric of shop’s choosing.  You will need to provide other fabric if necessary to 
finish your block.  Some shops may have finishing kits available for you to  
purchase. 
Prints from In The Beginning Fabrics are designed by  
local artist Julie Paschkis  

SHOP HOP PRIZES 
 
QUILT RETREAT ‐ one lucky Hopper will win a two night, three day quilt retreat 
for themselves and up to nine friends at the beautiful Wild Rose Quilt Shop & 
Retreat Center in Orting.  Available on a mutually agreeable basis during 2010.  
The retreat space includes 10 beds (5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms) and a kitchen 
connected to the quilting studio.  All above a gorgeous 3200+ bolt quilt shop. 
 
SEWING MACHINE ‐ two lucky Hoppers will win a Babylock Espire or Bernina 
Aurora sewing machine donated by the participating shops, Longview Sewing 
& Kitchen, and Calico Country.  Retail value varies between $1,500 and $2,000 
each.  Machine choice is randomly generated, and model subject to availabil‐
ity. 
 
GIFT BOXES ‐ four lucky winners will win a box stuffed with fabric, books, pat‐
terns, and notions.  Retail value approximately $500/each. 
 
GIFT CERTIFICATES ‐ 108 hoppers will win $20 gift certificates from participating 
shops.  Certificates are redeemable only at the shop from which it is issued.
