MISSING AND STOLEN INVENTORY AT SENAI WAREHOUSE
‘The Directors of ASJ Holdings Limited (the “Company”) wish to announce that the Company has
recently discovered instances of missing and stolen inventory from its warehouse in Senai,
Malaysia. The Company has reported this to the Malaysian authorities and to date, one employee
has been formally charged and investigations by the authorities are still on-going. The aggregate net
cost of the missing and stolen inventory amounts to approximately $235,000.
Following this incident, the Audit Committee has appointed Grant Thomton Advisory Services Pte
Ltd to determine the circumstances surrounding the fraudulent inventory transactions and how
controls were over-riden resulting in fraudulent inventory transactions, The Management is also
looking into measures to further tighten security at the Senai warehouse and will be conducting a
comprehensive review of the Group's materials movement procedures to identify areas for
improvement. In the meantime, the Management is in discussions with its insurers on this incident.
‘The raw materials which were stolen had been recorded in cost of sales and this incident does not
impact the Group’s results for the financial year ended 31 December 2010, as announced on 28
February 2011.
