A STUDY ON “IMPACT OF SBI ON KERALA’S RURAL AREAS & AMONG

YOUNGSTERS”

INTRODUCTION

There is a huge impact of SBT in the banking services in rural areas of

Kerala. On this situation SBI started some of their branches in rural areas. I have
taken a research among the rural people and youth, they replied very well about
the study. It helps me to prepare a good study report. SBI’s various services like
educational loans, savings bank a/c with lessor amount of initial investment and
easy access of ATM’s. Information collected from ten rural areas in Kerala for
knowing the impact of SBI on rural area. For that we collected opinions from
youth through various social networking Facebook, Linked in and Orkut.

OBJECTIVES

This study is to evaluate the impact of SBI in Kerala’s rural areas and
identify the banking needs of generation ‘Y’. The study is helpful for the
organization to identify the needs of rural people and also for the general public
to show their needs. We analyzed that there is a huge impact of SBT, South Indian
Bank, Federal Bank and co-operative banks in Kerala. So we takes a comparison
study between SBI and these banks.
