Organization has a historical perspective. The organization also has a goal that
was pursued by human services; these are social service, social care, and rehabilitation. In
organization, it has a scientific management or classical theory. Scientific management is
a conceptual framework for structuring, defining, and managing organizations that is
consistent with the objective, scientific, positivistic, and quantitative dimension of the
traditional paradigm. According to Taylor, scientific management could achieve greatest
effectiveness and efficiency in the attainment of organizational goals through four basic
principles.
One of the four basic principles was science for work. It was accomplished by
taking what was characteristically known about each task and objectives or scientifically
studying what was known and what was needed to be done to accomplish the task. And
the other principle was focused on expanding the role played by managers in the overall
production process, and it is the fourth principle.
The total quality management was consisting of a heavy emphasis on team work
and involvement of everyone in the organization in the pursuit of quality. It has a focus
on the consumer of the organizations services. The workers are encouraged to work out
on problems solvable at their level and not to pass them along the next level, and
everyone must on their quality.
