IMP Project Proposal

Title: Information Management support for stock management system– A


Case Study: Wilkinson ltd, Watford, Middlesex, UK

Aim of Research This project consists of the following aims:


1. To determine the current policies and actions in the stock
or management system.
2. To obtain evidence in the form of primary data and secondary

4. To create a non-technical management report. This will
include recommendations to improve the inventory
management system at Wilkinson.

Research methods Both quantitative and qualitative methodologies will be used. Data

Timetable of work: Week 2 – Week 4:- Interview Stock Manager and sales person to
obtain data sets.
Week 5:- collecting the quarterly stock report and analyze the data.
Week 6:- Review relevant academic literature in order to make a well-
informed set of recommendations to help improve the Inventory
management system at Wilkinson.
Week 7:- Prepare the first draft of the IMP report with Literature
review & Conclusion/Recommendation.
Week 8:- Prepare the second & third draft of the IMP report.
Week 9- Week 10: Revise & Submit the Final draft.
