From the audience feedback we have received it
is clear that the audience prefer what they are
used to seeing at the cinema. As we decided
to aim our audience to young adult males
aged between15-30 we have received
different feedback. In order to gain the
responses we used sites including blogger,
Facebook, and YouTube. We have also gone up
to people who previously filled out earlier
questionnaires so we can get their responses.
The majority have stated they want to see more action
involved in a short amount of time because it is a
trailer. Other responses include creating more
establishing shots and show more enigma codes in
order to want the audience to know what is going to
happen. From their responses towards the trailer I
have learnt that in order to create an effective trailer
you need to establish characters settings and time. I
have also learned that this should be done without
giving too much away of the story itself. We received a
great deal of complaints for the tagline which also
featured on our film poster. The problem was that it
was too long. So we changed it from ͞To win the fight,
you must win your battle͟ to ͞Everyone has their
battles but not everyone wins their fight͟.
From the magazine feedback the main problem
with it was that the front cover did not seem like
another film magazine. The image used for it was
good, this was what most of the audience͛s
responses were. The information on the front of
it was lacking detail, and also more up to date
news is wanted from it, which is seen in most film
magazines, however when designing the cover
we did not take into account advertising other big
films out. Looking at audience responses from
the film magazine front cover more needs to be
done to it in order for it to look professional
which we hope to achieve.
The responses received from the film poster were
more positive than constructive feedback to the
magazine front cover. The general responses that
were given were that it was good and looked like
it could go up on bus shelters. One or two issues
with the poster were that the images of the
characters could perhaps be either a long shot or
close ups instead of mid shots which we currently
have. From the feedback received on the film
poster I didn͛t expect to make many further
changes with the image as I felt it was fine as it
was. I also considered changing the position and
the layout of the text, which I found out workred
better
