Anisopus tucumanus, n. sp.
Male. — Length of body 4,2 mm.; wing 4,6 mm. Head:
Mouth parts blackish. Palpus yellowish brown, the last segment
darker. Frons blackish. Antenna with blackish scape and torus,
the torus lighter at apex; flagellum blackish except the last
segment which is very small and button like and extreme apex
of the penultimate one which are dull whitish Ocellar callus
blackish, protuberant, the three equal ocelli equidistant. Occiput
dull blackish with white pruinosity and quite abundandly

Scutellum brown in the middle and yellowish on the sides with
a few slender blackish hairs. Postnotum brown in the middle
and yellowish on the sides. Pleura brown; propleura, katepi-
sternite and pleurotergite with very small and yellowish setae.
Wing: (Fig. 11). Macrotrichia nearly absent on the basal
portion of wing, at apex more abundant but sparse. Wing with
the following markings: costal cell with a dark spot at apex;
subcostal cell with two spots; radial cell and Ro-3 with a very
small basal and a large apical spots; Ry-s, M, and My with
three spots; Mg, and My with two spots; Ist. basal, 2nd. basal
as well as discal cell. only darkened at the cross veins; cross
veins with dark markings. Haltere with yellow stem and brown512 Lane &.d’Andretta, Neotropical Anisopodidae
knob. Legs: Hind and mid coxae brown, fore one yellowish.
Trochanteres yellowish. Fore femur and tibia yellowish; basi-
tarsus yellowish with brownish apex, II yellowish, apex with a
broader brownish mark; II] to V brown. Mid femur yellowish,
slightly brownish mesially and with brown apex; tibia yellowish;
tarsi as in front pair. Hind temur yellowish with a broad brown
band beyond the middle and another at apex; tibia yellowish
with a broad brown apical band; basitarsus yellowish but
extreme apex brown, the other tarsal segments brown. Abdomen:
Tergites with 1 yellowish bearing a mesial brown mark; I and
HI dull brown with yellow marks and whitish apical bands;
IV to apex dull blackish brown with whitish apical bands.
Genitalia: (Fig. 7).
Type: Holotype male. To be returned to the Instituto Mi-
guel Lillo.
Type locality: Argentina, Prov. de Tucuman, Capital,
X.1945 (collector unknown).
Anisopus wygodzinskyi, n. sp.
Male. — Length of body 3,5 mm.; wing 4,2 mm. Head:
Mouth parts and’ palpus blackish. Frons blackish _ pruinose.
Antenna with blackish scape and torus but torus with yel~
lowish apex; flagellum blackish. Ocellar callus prominent and
constricted above the holoptic eyes. Occiput dull black, white
pruinose on sides below, with sparse blackish hairs. Thorax:
Mesonotum reddish brown with a slender V-shaped blackish
stripe which divides the diluted markings and fuses into a line
on prescutellar region which reaches scutellum; margins broadly
yellow with brown irregular pigmentation markings; covered
with longish setae; acrostichals and dorsocentrals irregularly
distributed the setae over root of wing longer and_ stouter.
Scutellum blackish brown with central stripe from mesonotum and
two marginal setae. Postnotum yellowish. Pleura brownish and
mottled with pigmental markings; one seta on katepisternite and
one on pleurotergite. Wing: (Fig. 12). Macrotrichia on all cells,
sparse on basal ones and denser on apical half of wing. With
the following brown markings: apex of costal and subcostal
cells; R, with two brown spots, one before middle, the other
larger over nearly apical third; Ry-3 with two spots; Rg-5 with
three spots besides darkening on r-m; My with two spots, one
