Rainer Zinow
Prior to this role, he oversaw the portfolio of the three SAP SME solutions: SAP® Business All-in-One, SAP
Business ByDesign, and SAP® Business One.
In 1991, Zinow joined SAP as a member of the SAP® R/3® coordination group developing data migration
tools from SAP® R/2® to SAP R/3. From 1992 until 1996, he was responsible for establishing the SAP and
IBM competence center and for managing the relationship between both companies. Parallel to that, he
served as executive assistant to then SAP CEO Dietmar Hopp. From 1996 until 1999, he was in charge of
SAP’s education line of business. In 2000, Zinow rejoined SAP’s development organization as product
manager within the CRM organization. In 2004, he joined SAP’s new strategic initiative for small and
midsize enterprises known today as SAP Business ByDesign. Until 2008, he had responsibility for the
newly developed knowledge transfer concept.
Zinow started his professional career in 1987 with a small software company working as a system analyst
and software developer.
Rainer Zinow holds an MBA from the University of Mannheim in Germany. In addition to that, Zinow
completed postgraduate studies at the Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) in
Fontainebleau, France, and at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne,
Switzerland.
