Objective: Use of removable clear aligners for anterior occlusion and the use of
D.N.A removable appliance for the posterior occlusion to shorten treatment time of
traditional orthodontics.

Design: Phase I: D.N.A. Adult Acrylic-based 3Daxial spring tooth 7-10 and post
Adams clasp with Transverse Acrylic base screw. Phase II: Invisalign full with
refinements.

Settings: Female population between the ages of 35 to 45. To keep the subjects
within the same approximate age and gender for a more accurate data/outcome.
Each patient was selected based on hard and soft tissue compatibility and density.

Subjects: 3 subjects (female) aged 22-42 years. Subject A: 33 years of age with
narrow arch and anterior crowding, Subject B: 42 years of age with upper and lower
crowding open of arch would not resolve crowding and would like to avoid jaw
surgery. Subject C: 22 years of age with missing tooth #6 space closer on the missing
area with shifted midline over 5mm.

Intervention: Subjects were given optional treatment plans of traditional band and
brackets instead treated via removable appliance therapy in achieving a cosmetic
and proper occlusion finish. Subject A-with DNA Phase one and Two. Subject B & C-
with removable Clear Aligner Treatment. Restorative dentistry was also given as an
option.

Results: Subject A - DNA and Aligner TX : improved posterior occlusion and resolve
of lower anterior crowding with improved soft and facial tissues in less than a year.
Subject B- Aligner combo with restorative: posterior occlusion class one not
changed subject smile line improvement. Subject C- Aligner combo with restorative:
gained space for missing (extracted tooth#6 as a child) and made room for implant
placement as well as the midline correction. All subjects treatment outcome
documented with before and after photos.

Conclusions: All three subjects had removable appliance treatments, which gave
the patients the convenience of non fixed metal band and brackets. Patient psyche
was of completed motivation since the DNA was worn at night and later the clear
aligners.
