    Dear Representative Soto,

    I am writing to express my strong support for Senate Bill 620, and to urge the House to
    pass this legislation into law.

    I believe this is an important piece of legislation for my constituents. When funds are
    shrinking, budgets are being cut, and taxpayers are having their own economic
    hardships, Chicago Public Schools needs to do master planning for our $40 billion-plus
    public school facilities real estate portfolio. CPS must have good oversight over how it
    plans for our schools, and implement models of good governance and transparency.
    Taxpayers will not only appreciate such transparency, this bill will ensure fairness and
    better educational opportunities for all our public school students.
