Synopsis

Online Gas Agency Management System.

Abstract of the project

This project is aimed at developing an online Gas
Management system that is of importance to
Distributor as well as the user. The Gas Management
System (LMS) is an Intranet based application that
can be accessed throughout the World. This system
can be used to automate the Booking of gas
cylinders. The periodic booking of cylinders is
manually done by customer. There are features like
email notifications, cancellation of booking, booking
approval of cylinder etc in this system.

Functional components of the project

Following is a list of functionalities of the system.

There are two modules administrator (Owner) and

user (Customer)
Administrator (Owner)

• Can add new customer, edit, delete and update

the customer details
• Should be able to book the cylinder
• Can view stocks of the cylinders on the
particular date
• Can add the stock to the inventory
• Assign a password to customer
• Search for a particular customer by giving
details
• View today’s delivers and deliver the cylinder
• Change password

1. A person should be able to

• Login to the system through the first page
of the application by giving his cid.
• change the password after logging into the
system
• see his/her eligibility details (like booking
date and delivery date)
• should be able to send a request to
distributor for booking of cylinder
• Automatic email should be sent to the
customer after the request is accepted or
status should be sent to the customer (no
stock).
 • Delivery date of the cylinder is updated
automatically after 15 days of the booking.
