Since the Branford landfill has closed, the Town no longer has the ability to accept
• large quantities of unburnable materials (wallboard, tile, roofing, brick, block); or
• large quantities of wood (lumber, brush, logs, stumps); and
• we are not required to take Clean Fill (soil, brick, block, clean concrete) because it is not a
solid waste.
Although not an exhaustive list, the following locations are ones the Town knows of that will
usually be able to take such materials generated in the Town of Branford.

Although the Town of Branford can not recommend these or any particular companies, we do
encourage the re-use or recycling of materials whenever possible.
Call ahead to confirm hours, prices, and acceptance of your material.
