Nuclear Zone Manager
In charge of a multitude of trades to accomplish work, whether it is in performi
ng maintenance to the different systems onboard or removing interferences to sup
port the rip-out and installation of new upgraded systems onboard a submarine, n
ecessary to support upcoming testing programs in order to deliver ships on time.
Responsibilities included pre-planning, sequencing and scheduling of work; in
addition to supervising anywhere from 4 - 90 employees.
Positions held:
Nuclear Zone Manager for over 25 years.
Ran mid-shift for the Nuclear Repair Officer for over 7 years.
Ran Special Projects for the Nuclear Repair Officer for over 7 years.
Coordinated and worked with outside contractor to replace the air conditioning u
nit to the radiological facility.
Day shift Nuclear Zone Manager on a number of successful availabilities.
Co-ran PM shift for 2 years.
