bahwa RasuluLlah saw. bersabda kepada Ali ra:<br> <em>Engkau dari aku dan aku dari kamu.</em> (HR. Bukhari)</p> <p><strong>RINGKASAN KEUTAMAAN ALI BIN ABI THALIB RA.</strong></p> <p>Nama beliau ra. adalah Ali bin Abi Thalib bin Abdul Muthalib (namanya Syaibah) bin Hasyim (namanya Amr) bin Abdu Manaf (namanya Mughirah) bin Qushay (nama aslinya Zaid) bin Kilab bin Murrah bin Kaab bin Luay bin Ghalib bin Fihr bin Malik bin Nadhr bin Kinanah. Beliau ra. dipanggil Abul Husein dan Abu Turab oleh RasuluLlah saw.</p> <p>Beliau ra. suami dari Fathimah ra., penghulu wanita sedunia, puteri RasuluLlah saw., sehingga Ali ra. adalah juga menantu dari RasuluLlah saw. Ali ra. adalah juga sepupu RasuluLlah saw., putera paman RasuluLlah saw., Abi Thalib, sehingga Ali ra. merupakan Ahlul Bait RasuluLlah saw. Putera-puteri Ali ra. dari Fathimah ra. adalah: Al-Hassan ra., Al-Husein ra. (keduanya adalah penghulu pemuda penduduk Surga), Ruqayah ra., Ummu Kultsum ra. (kedua puteri tsb, sama dengan nama 2 kakak Fathimah ra.). Ali ra. juga memiliki putera dari seorang isteri wanita Bani Hanifah (setelah Fathimah ra. wafat), bernama Muhammad (bin) Al-Hanafiyah (demikian beliau dipanggil), seorang Tabiin besar.</p> <p>Ibunda Ali ra. adalah Fathimah binti Asad bin Hasyim, seorang wanita Bani Hasyim yang melahirkan seorang Bani Hasyim. <span id="more36"></span>Beliau ra. (ibunda Ali ra.) masuk Islam dan hijrah. Ali ra. sendiri termasuk salah seorang dari 10 sahabat ra. yang dijamin masuk surga.</p> <p><strong>BEBERAPA KEUTAMAAN ALI RA.</strong><br> Ali ra. adalah orang yang pertama kali masuk Islam dari kalangan anak-anak. Sebagian riwayat mengatakan bahwa saat masuk Islam, beliau ra. baru berumur 10 tahun. Diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Saad bahwa AlHassan bin Zaid bin Al-Hassan berkata: Ali tidak pernah menyembah berhala sama sekali karena dia memang masih kecil.</p> <p>Saat hijrah RasuluLlah saw, Ali ra. dengan penuh keberanian, tidur di atas tempat tidur RasuluLlah saw., sehingga para pengepung mengira RasuluLlah saw. masih di dalam rumah, sedang beliau saw. telah meninggalkan rumah tsb.</p> <p>Ali adalah salah satu dari 3 orang sahabat ra. yang melakukan perang tanding satu lawan satu melawan 3 tokoh kafir Quraisy saat Perang Badar. Ali ra. berkata: Utbah bin Rabiah (dari Kafir Quraisy, pen.) maju diikuti putra (Al-Walid, pen.) dan saudaranya (Syaibah, pen.). Ia berseru: Siapa mau bertarung? Kemudian ditampilkan kepadanya seorang pemuda Anshar. Ia bertanya: Siapa kamu? Maka mereka mengabarinya. Utbah berkata: Kami tidak membutuhkan kamu, tetapi kami inginkan putera-putera paman kami. Kemudian RasuluLlah saw. bersabda: <em>Berdirilah, hai Hamzah! Majulah, hai Ali! Majulah hai Ubaidah bin Harits!</em> Kemudian Hamzah ra. menghadapi Utbah (dan berhasil membunuhnya, pen.) dan aku menghadapi Syaibah (dan membunuhnya, pen.). Ubaidah dan Al-Walid saling menyerang. Masing-masing saling melukai lawannya. Kemudian kami menyerang Al-Walid dan membunuhnya dan kami bawa Ubaidah. (HR. Abu Daud)</p> <p>Abu Dzar ra. bersumpah, kalau ayat:<br> <strong><em>Inilah dua golongan (golongan mukmin dan golongan kafir)
yang bertengkar, mereka saling bertengkar mengenai Tuhan mereka</em> (Q. S. Al-Hajj : 19)</strong></p> <p>Turun mengenai orang-orang yang bertarung dalam Perang Badar; Hamzah, Ali, Ubaidah ibnul Harits, Utbah bin Rabiah dan Syaibah bin Rabiah serta Al-Walid bin Utbah. (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)</p> <p>Imam Bukhari juga meriwayatkan dari Sahl bin Saad, dia berkata bahwa RasuluLlah saw. bersabda pada Perang Khaibar: <em>Saya sungguh-sungguh akan berikan bendera perang esok hari kepada orang yang dengannya Khaibar akan dibuka dan dia mencintai Allah dan Rasul Nya, sebagaimana Allah dan Rasul Nya mencintainya.</em> Malam itu para sahabat ramai membincangkan siapa yang akan mendapat kehormatan untuk mendapatkan bendera perang itu. Tatkala pagi menjelang, para sahabat segera menemui RasuluLlah saw. Semuanya berharap semoga bendera itu diberikan kepadanya. Lalu RasuluLlah saw. berkata: <em>Di mana Ali?</em> Orang yang hadir saat itu berkata: Dia sedang sakit mata. RasuluLlah saw. bersabda: <em>Datangkan dia ke sini!</em> Lalu para sahabat ra. menjemputnya untuk menghadap RasuluLlah saw. Ali ra. datang menemui RasuluLlah saw., dan RasuluLlah saw. menyemburkan ludah kepada kedua matanya dan berdoa. Dan sembuhlah kedua mata Ali seakan-akan dia tidak pernah merasa sakit. Lalu RasuluLlah saw. serahkan bendera itu kepadanya.</p> <p>Diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Asakir bahwa Jabir bin AbduLlah berkata: Pada saat perang Khaibar, Ali mampu menjebol pintu Khaibar sendirian, hingga akhirnya kaum muslimin mampu masuk ke dalam benteng dan menaklukkan musuh-musuhnya. Lalu mereka menarik pintunya dan pintu tersebut tidak mampu ditarik kecuali oleh 40 orang.</p> <p>Ali ra. mengikuti semua perang yang diikuti oleh RasuluLlah saw., kecuali Perang Tabuk. Imam Bukhari dan Muslim meriwayatkan dari Saad bin Abi Waqqash ra. bahwa RasuluLlah saw. memerintahkan Ali ra. untuk menggantikan beliau saw. sementara di Madinah pada saat kaum muslimin akan menuju Perang Tabuk. Ali ra. saat itu berkata: Engkau tempatkan aku bersama para wanita dan anak-anak di Madinah? RasuluLlah saw. bersabda: <em>Tidakkah engkau rela menjadi laksana Harun di samping Musa di sisiku? Hanya saja memang tidak ada Nabi setelahku.</em></p> <p>Imam Muslim dari Saad bin Abi Waqqash ra. dia berkata: Tatkala turun ayat:<br> <strong><em>Siapa yang membantahmu tentang kisah Isa sesudah datang ilmu (yang meyakinkan kamu), Maka Katakanlah (kepadanya): Marilah kita memanggil anak-anak Kami dan anak-anak kamu, isteri-isteri Kami dan isteri-isteri kamu, diri Kami dan diri kamu; kemudian Marilah kita bermubahalah kepada Allah dan kita minta supaya lanat Allah ditimpakan kepada orang-orang yang dusta.</em> (Q. Ali Imraan : 61)</strong></p> <p>Beliau saw. memanggil Ali, Fathimah, Hassan , Husein (radhiyaLlahu anhum) lalu berkata: <em>Ya Allah, mereka adalah keluargaku.</em></p> <p>Imam Muslim meriwayatkan dari Ali ra., dia berkata: Demi Dzat Yang Membelah biji-bijian dan Menciptakan makhluk yang bernyawa, sesungguhnya RasuluLlah yang ummi (Muhammad saw.) mengatakan kepada saya bahwa tidak ada yang mencintaiku kecuali seorang mukmin dan tidak ada yang membenciku kecuali seorang munafik. Imam Tirmidzi
meriwayatkan hadits serupa dari Said Al-Khudri, dia berkata: Kami mengetahui seorang munafik dari kebencian mereka kepada Ali bin Abi Thalib (ra.).</p> <p>Imam Ath-Thabarani dengan isnad shahih meriwayatkan dari Ummu Salamah ra. dari RasuluLlah saw, beliau saw. bersabda:<br> <em>Barangsiapa mencintai Ali, maka dia berarti mencintai saya, dan siapa yang mencintai saya, berarti dia mencintai Allah. Barangsiapa membenci Ali, berarti dia membenci saya dan barangsiapa yang membenci saya berarti dia membenci Allah.</em></p> <p>Al-Bara bin Azib ra. berkata, bahwa RasuluLlah saw. bersabda kepada Ali ra: <em>Engkau dari aku dan aku dari kamu.</em> (HR. Bukhari)</p> <p>Al-Hakim meriwayatkan dari Abu Said Al-Khudri, dia berkata: Beberapa orang mengeluh tentang Ali. Maka berdirilah RasuluLlah saw. seraya berkata di depan publik:<br> <em>Janganlah kalian mengeluhkan tentang Ali, sesungguhnya dia adalah orang yang paling takut kepada Allah, dan paling berani dalam jihad di Jalan Allah.</em></p> <p>Al-Bazzar, Abu Yala dan Al-Hakim meriwayatkan dari Ali ra., dia berkata, RasuluLlah saw. memanggil saya lalu berkata:<br> <em>Wahai Ali, sesungguhnya dalam dirimu ada sesuatu yang menyerupai Isa, dia dibenci orang Yahudi hingga mereka melecehkan ibunya, dan dicintai oleh orang-orang Nashrani hingga mereka mendudukkannya pada posisi yang tidak benar. Ketahuilah, sesungguhnya ada dua golongan yang akan hancur karena perlakuan mereka terhadapmu: Golongan yang berlebih-lebihan dalam mencintaimu hingga mereka mendudukannmu pada posisi yang tidak benar, dan golongan yang membencimu dengan keterlaluan hingga mereka melecehkanmu.</em></p> <p>RasuluLlah saw. mengutus Ali ke Yaman. Maka ia (Ali ra., pen.) berkata: Wahai RasuluLlah, engkau utus diriku kepaa suatu kaum yang lebih tua dariku supaya aku putuskan perkara di antara mereka. Nabi saw. berkata: <em>Pergilah, karena Allah Taala akan meneguhkan lisanmu dan memberi petunjuk kepada hatimu!</em> (HR. Ahmad)</p> <p>Al-Hakim meriwayatkan dari AbduLlah bin Masud dia berkata: Kami sama-sama mengatakan bahwa penduduk Madinah yang paling pandai dalam memutuskan perkara adalah Ali (ra.).</p> <p>Ibnu Saad meriwayatkan dari Said bin Musayyib dia berkata: Umar bin Khaththab ra. selalu memohon perlindungan kepada Allah dari godaan syetan dalam memutuskan perkara sulit jika saat itu Ali ra. tidak hadir.</p> <p><strong>KEKHILAFAHAN ALI RA.</strong><br> Setelah Utsman ra. syahid, Ali ra. diangkat menjadi khalifah ke-4. Awalnya beliau ra. menolak, namun akhirnya beliau ra. menerimanya. Imam Ahmad meriwayatkan dengan sanad yang shahih dari Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiyah berkata: ..Sementara orang banyak datang di belakangnya dan menggedor pintu dan segera memasuki rumah itu. Kata mereka: Beliau (Utsman ra.) telah terbunuh, sementara rakyat harus punya khalifah, dan kami tidak mengetahui orang yang paling berhak untuk itu kecuali anda (Ali ra.). Ali ra. berkata kepada mereka: Janganlah kalian mengharapkan saya, karena saya lebih senang menjadi wazir (pembantu) bagi kalian daripada menjadi Amir. Mereka menjawab: Tidak, demi
Allah, kami tidak mengetahui ada orang yang lebih berhak menjadi khalifah daripada engkau. Ali ra. menjawab: Jika kalian tak menerima pendapatku dan tetap ingin membaiatku, maka baiat tersebut hendaknya tidak bersifat rahasia, tetapi aku akan pergi ke masjid, maka siapa yang bermaksud membaiatku maka berbaiatlah kepadaku. Pergilah Ali ra. ke masjid dan orang-orang berbaiat kepadanya.</p> <p>Dalam Tarikh Al-Yaqubi dikatakan: Ali bin Abi Thalib (ra.) menggantikan Utsman sebagai khalifah dan dia (ra.) dibaiat oleh Thalhah (ra.), Zubair (ra.), Kaum Muhajirin dan Anshar (radhiyaLlahu anhum). Sedangkan orang yang pertama kali membaiat dan menjabat tangannya adalah Thalhah bin Ubaidillah (ra.).</p> <p>Imam Ahmad, Abu Daud dan At-Tirmidzy mentakhrij hadits berasal dari Safinah ra., ia berkata: Aku mendengar RasuluLlah saw. bersabda:<br> <em>Kekhilafahan berlangsung selama 30 tahun dan setelah itu adalah kerajaan.</em> Safinah ra. berkata: Mari kita hitung, Khilafah Abu Bakar ra. berlangsung 2 tahun, Khilafah Umar ra. 10 tahun, Khilafah Utsman ra. 12 tahun, dan Khilafah Ali ra. 6 tahun.</p> <p>Ali ra. bekerja keras pada masa kekhilafahannya guna mengembalikan stabilitas dalam tubuh umat setelah sebelumnya Ibnu Saba dan Sabaiyahnya melancarkan konspirasi dan provokasinya guna menghancurkan Islam dari dalam. Pada masa kekepemimpinan Ali ra. ini, Ibnu Saba dan Sabaiyah nya pun kembali melancarkan konspirasi dan makar mereka, sehingga membuat keadaan menjadi semakin rumit. Diriwayatkan bahwa pada akhirnya Ali ra. membakar banyak dari pengikut Sabaiyah ini dan juga mengasingkan Ibnu Saba ke Al-Madain.</p> <p><strong>ALI RA. MEMERANGI KHAWARIJ</strong><br> Semula orang-orang yang kelak dikenal dengan khawarij ini turut membaiat Ali ra., dan Ali ra. tidak menindak mereka secara langsung mengingat kondisi umat belumlah kembali stabil, di samping para pembuat makar yang berjumlah ribuan itu pun telah berbaur di Kota Madinah, hingga dapat mempengaruhi hamba sahaya dan orang-orang Badui. Jika Ali ra. bersegera mengambil tindakan, maka bisa dipastikan akan terjadi pertumpahan darah dan fitnah yang tidak kunjung habisnya. Karenanya Ali ra, memilih untuk menunggu waktu yang tepat, setelah kondisi keamanan kembali stabil, untuk menyelesaikan persoalan yang ada dengan menegakkan qishash.</p> <p>Kaum khawarij sendiri pada akhirnya menyempal dari Pasukan Ali ra. setelah beliau ra. melakukan tahkim dengan Muawiyah ra. setelah beberapa saat terjadi perbedaan ijtihad di antara mereka berdua ra. (Ali ra. dan Muawiyah ra.). Orang-orang khawarij menolak tahkim seraya mengumandangkan slogan: Tidak ada hukum kecuali hukum Allah. Tidak boleh menggantikan hukum Allah dengan hukum manusia. Demi Allah! Allah telah menghukum penzalim dengan jalan diperangi sehingga kembali ke jalan Allah. Ungkapan mereka: Tiada ada hukum kecuali hukum Allah, dikomentari oleh Ali: Ungkapan benar, tetapi disalahpahami. </p> <p>Pada akhirnya Ali ra. memerangi khawarij tsb., dan berhasil menghancurkan mereka di Nahrawan, di mana hampir seluruh dari orang Khawarij tsb berhasil dibunuh, sedangkan yang terbunuh di pihak Ali ra. hanya 9 orang saja.</p>
<p>Bersabda RasuluLlah saw.:<br> <em>Suatu kelompok akan melepaskan diri dari komunitas umat (yaitu Khawarij, pen.) ketika terjadi pertikaian di kalangan Kaum Muslimin, yang itu akan diperangi oleh golongan yang lebih utama dengan kebenaran (awla ath-thaa-ifataini bilhaq).</em> (HR. Muslim)</p> <p><strong>SYAHIDNYA ALI RA.</strong><br> Dari Muhammad bin Sad, dari beberapa orang syaiknya, mereka berkata: Ada 3 orang pemuka Khawarij (setelah peristiwa Nahrawan, pen.) yaitu AbdurRahman Ibnu Muljam, Al-Barak bin AbduLlah dan Amr bin Bakar At-Tamimy yang berkumpul di Makkah. Mereka berembug dan membuat kesepakatan bersama untuk membunuh tiga orang, yaitu Ali ra., Muawiyah ra. dan Amr bin Al-Ash ra. Dari tiga orang tsb, hanya Ibnu Muljam yang berhasil melaksanakan rencana busuk tersebut. Ali ra. terbunuh sebagai syahid saat beliau ra. sedang keluar untuk Shalat Subuh.</p> <p>Ali ra. berkata (mengenai orang yang menyerangnya -yang menyebabkan syahidnya beliau ra.): Beri ia makanan yang baik, dan sediakan untuknya tempat tidur yang empuk. Dan apabila aku masih hidup, maka aku lebih berhak untuk menuntuk balas kepadanya dengan memberikan maaf atau qishash. Akan tetapi jika aku mati, maka susulkan ia kepadaku, dan aku akan berbantahan dengan dirinya di hadapan Rabbul Alamiin.</p> <p>Imam Ahmad dan Al-Hakim dengan sanad shahih meriwayatkan dari Ammar bin Yasir bahwa RasuluLlah saw. bersabda kepada Ali ra.:<br> <em>Manusia yang paling celaka adalah dua orang: Pembunuh unta Nabi Shaleh dari Kaum Tsamud dan orang yang memukul kepalamu hingga jenggotmu berlumuran darah karenanya.</em></p> <p><strong>BEBERAPA PERKATAAN HIKMAH ALI RA.</strong><br> Berkata Ali ra.: Ambillah lima nasehat dariku: Janganlah sekalikali seseorang takut kecuali atas dosa-dosanya. Janganlah menggantungkan harapan kecuali kepada Tuhannya. Janganlah orang yang tidak berilmu merasa malu untuk belajar. Janganlah seseorang yang tidak mengerti sesuatu merasa malu untuk mengatakan Allahu Alam saat dia tidak bisa menjawab suatu masalah. Sesungguhnya kedudukan sabar bagi iman laksana kedudukan kepala pada jasad. Jika kesabaran hilang, maka akan lenyap pula keimanan, dan jika kepala hilang maka tidak akan ada artinya jasad. (Diriwayatkan oleh Said bin Manshur dalam Sunannya)</p> <p>Juga diriwayatkan dari Ali ra., dia berkata: Akibat maksiat adalah lemah dalam ibadah, sempit dalam riizki, berkurang lezatnya kehidupan. Lalu ditanyakan kepadanya, apa yang dia maksud berkurang lezatnya kehidupan. Beliau ra. menjawab: Tidak merasakan nikmat pada yang halal, namun akhirnya dia mendapatkan yang mengakibatkan habisnya kenikmatan itu.</p> <p>Ali ra., dia berkata: Dua hal yang paling kutakuti atas kalian adalah panjang angan-angan dan mengikuti hawa nafsu. Angan-angan yang panjang dapat melalaikan akhirat, sedang mengikuti hawa nafsu dapat menghalangi seseorang dari kebenaran. Ingatlah, sesungguhnya dunia ini akan ditinggalkan dan akan datang penggantinya. Masing-masing, diantara dunia dan akhirat memiliki anak. Jadilah kalian anak-anak akhirat dan jangan menjadi anak-anak dunia, karena hari ini (dunia) ada amal dan tidak ada hisab, sedangkan hari esok (akhirat) ada hisab dan tidak ada

Beliau bersabda: Ini adalah Ali saudaraku di dunia dan di akhirat, khalifahku pada keluargaku, wasiku pada ummatku, pewaris ilmuku, pembayar hutangku. Hartanya hartaku, menfaatnya adalah menfaatku, kemudaratannya adalah kemudaratanku. Sesiapa yang mengasihinya bahawa sesungguhnya dia mengasihiku. Dia sesiapa yang membencinya maka sesungguhnya dia membenciku. Hadith ini telah diriwayatkan oleh al-Qunduzi al-Hanafi di dalam Yanabi al-Mawaddah.</p> <p>Al-Qunduzi al-Hanafi di dalam Yanabi al-Mawaddah daripada Mawaddah al-Qurba karangan al-Hamdani al-Syafii dengan sanadnya daripada Ibn Umar daripada Rasulullah SAWAW bersabda:Sebaik-baik lelaki kalian ialah Ali bin Abi Talib. Sebaik-baik pemuda kalian ialah Hasan dan Husain. Dan sebaik-baik wanita kalian ialah Fatimah.</p> <p>Al-Nasai telah meriwayatkan hadith ini di dalam al-Khasais dengan membuang sanadnya daripada Zaid bin Arqam bahawa dia berkata: Beberapa orang sahabat Rasulullah SAWAW mempunyai pintu-pintu sebagai jalan ke
masjid. Maka Rasulullah SAWAW bersabda: Tutup semua pintu kecuali pintu Ali. Maka orang ramai mula bising. Lalu Rasulullah SAWAW berdiri memuji Allah dan bersabda:Sesungguhnya aku diperintahkan supaya menutup kesemua pintu-pintu kecuali pintu Ali. Aku diperintahkan untuk melalukannya, lalu aku mematuhinya.</p> <p>Hadith ini juga dicatat oleh al-Hakim di dalam al-Mustadrak, alTabari di dalam Dhakhair al-Uqba dan lain-lain.</p> <p>Ali bersama al-Quran dan al-Quran bersama Ali.<br> Al-Qunduzi al-Hanafi telah mencatatnya di dala Yanabi al-Mawaddah dan al-Hamawaini di dalam Faraid al-Simtin.</p> <p>Al-Qunduzi al-Hanafi di dalam Yanabi al-Mawaddah meriwayatkan daripada Abu Laila al-Ghifari dia berkata: Aku mendengar Rasulullah SAWAW bersabda: Selepasku akan ada fitnah. Dan sekiranya berlaku, maka berpihaklah kepada Ali bin Abu Talib AS kerana beliau adalah orang yang pertama beriman denganku, dan orang yang pertama berjabat tangan denganku di Hari Kiamat. Kedudukan Ali disamping Rasulullaah adalah seperti kedudukan Harun dihadapan Musa, hanya saja Ali bukan Rasul sedangkan Harun adalah Rasul.</p> <p>Tapi kita juga tidak bisa memungkiri bahwa dalam suatu hal tertentu, shahabat yang lain lebih ahli daripada Ali. <p>Diriwayatkan dari Yahya bin Said dari Muhammad bin Amr bin Ali, dari Ali bin Abi Thalib. Dia berkata, Rasul Saw, telah bersabda: Apabila ummatku melakukan 15 perkara, maka pasti akan datang kepada mereka bala :</p> <p>1. Apabila harta negara hanya berada pada orang tertentu.</p> <p>2. Amanah dijadikan sumber kekayaan.</p> <p>3. Zakat dijadikan hutang</p> <p>4. Suami memperturutkan kehendak istri.</p> <p>5. Anak durhaka terhadap ibunya.</p> <p>6. Suka berbaik-baik dengan kawannya.</p> <p>7.Suka menjauh dari ayahnya.</p> <p>8. Suara diangkat di Mesjid.</p> <p>9. Yang menjadi pemimpin adalah orang terhina di antara mereka.</p> <p>10. Seseorang dimuliakan karena ditakuti kejahatannya.</p> <p>11.Minuman keras (khamar) diminum di mana-mana.</p> <p>12.Kain sutera banyak dipakai oleh kaum laki-laki.</p> <p>13.Para artis disanjung-sanjung.</p> <p>14.
