Rahman, you are already in Year Four, yet you still cannot read this sentence?

I cannot read, sir Stand up until the lesson finish.

I remembered the conversation between my English teacher and my classmate, Rahman. Rahman, who sat next to me, still cannot read even though he was already ten years old. I did not understand how it happened until one day after I read a magazine. That magazine told me about the same problem faced by Rahman. The problem was referred as dyslexia. Dyslexia was a kind of disease that prevented someone to learn to read. Every time they tried to read, their eyes skipped the whole sentences. I was sympathized and I was afraid if they cannot live independently in a world where the smart, intelligent and widely knowledge people compete for a better status and position. Therefore I set a wish which is to use build an institution with full accommodations and high technology system and exposing to suitable job. At first, the institution must be able to accommodate at least one thousand patients. The facilities such as the resource centre must be well progress, with internet easily access, and updated. For the hostels, they must be comfortable, full of accommodations and well equipped. Then I will hire educators that are professionals and with honorable certificates. The systematic progress in academic and co-curriculum activities help them to live as ordinary person and are capable to live independently. The syllabuses are also updated, full with

current issues and suitable for their level so that they could follow the education system without any confusion. There are other ways to help them as there is more than one way to skin a cat. Next, their participations in every competition or contest will have the support from many sides especially from the government organization whether in financial form or non-financial form. In order to raise fund, I will ask them to held sport carnivals or booth sales that involve the public. Concisely, although my efforts are not much, it still meant a lot as a penny save, a penny gained. I just hope that those patients can live and stand independently in this high-technology world as the future lies in their hands.
