Revision: A 10/01
ALARM POSITION: sirens and compact alarms should be placed on the wheelhouse on the passenger’s side. Control units and modules should be
placed under the dashboard on the driver’s side. For the passage of wires use the existing loom situated on the bulkhead in the engine compartment
on the passenger’s side.
ALARM FEED: connect the positive and the negative of the alarm directly to the terminals of the battery.
INDICATORS: connect to the BLUE/BROWN wire pos.12, to the BLUE/YELLOW wire pos.4, to the BLUE/GREEN wire pos.11 in the 15 pin WHITE
connector of the C.D.L. control unit situated behind the glove compartment on the passenger’s side. Then connect to the BLUE/GREEN wire pos.8, to
the BLUE/YELLOW wire pos.14 and to the BLUE/BROWN wire pos.6 in the 15 pin BLACK connector to the C.D.L. control unit situated behind the
glove compartment on the passenger’s side. For the connections refer to the “X5 INDICATORS” diagram hereunder.
IGNITION SWITCHED LIVE: connect to the VIOLET/YELLOW wire pos.13 in the 54 pin BLACK to the control unit situated behind the bulkhead
on the passenger’s side.
ENGINE IMMOBILISATION: cut the BLUE/BLACK wire pos.6 in the 13 pin BLACK connector to the WHITE control unit situated over the open
bonnet handle.
Starter immobilisation (for preset alarms only): cut the BLACK/LIGHT BLUE wire to the ignition switch.
CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING + ELECTRIC WINDOWS for all the alarm except for the GT403/4: follow the connection diagram no.4/B. Negative
commands. Closing doors command: LIGHT BLUE/RED wire pos. 4. Opening doors command: WHITE/BLACK wire pos.3 in the 12 pin BLACK connector
to the push button panel on the driver’s door side. Place the alarm dip switches No.3 and 4 in ON.
DOORS and HATCH PIN SWITCHES: connect to the RED/BLUE wire pos.20 in the 20 pin BLACK connector to the C.D.L. control unit situated on
the bulkhead in the engine compartment on the passenger’s side. For the connections refer to the “X5 DOORS and HATCH PIN SWITCHES” diagram
hereunder.
NOTE 1: it is possible to install the GT403/4 alarm.

ALARM POSITION: sirens and compact alarms should be placed in the windscreen wiper compartment on the passenger’s
side near the ABS group. Control units and modules should be placed under the dashboard on the passenger’s side. For the
passage of wires use the existing loom that is situated in the windscreen wiper compartment on the passenger’s side behind
the plastic bulkhead.
ALARM FEED: connect the positive and the earth directly to the terminals of the battery.
INDICATORS: connect to the LIGHT BLUE/YELLOW wire pos.9, to the LIGHT BLUE/GREEN wire pos.16, to the LIGHT
BLUE/GREEN wire pos.18, to the LIGHT BLUE/BROWN wire pos.5, to the LIGHT BLUE/BROWN wire pos.8 and to the
LIGHT BLUE/YELLOW wire pos.13 in the 54 pin WHITE connector to the control unit situated behind the bulkhead on the
passenger’s side. For the connections refer to the “MINI INDICATORS” diagram indicated at the page 2.
IGNITION SWITCHED LIVE: connect to the VIOLET/RED wire pos.36 in the 54 pin WHITE connector to the control
unit situated behind the bulkhead on the passenger’s side.
ENGINE IMMOBILISATION: cut the WHITE/LIGHT BLUE wire pos.3 in the 12 pin WHITE connector on the rear of the
fuse box behind the bulkhead on the driver’s side.
Starter immobilisation (for preset alarms only): cut the BLACK/LIGHT BLUE wire pos.8 in the 11 pin BLACK connector to
the ignition switch.
CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING + ELECTRIC WINDOWS: follow the connection diagram no.4/B. Negative commands. Closing
doors command: LIGHT BLUE/RED wire pos.28. Opening doors command: WHITE/GREY wire pos.10 in the 54 pin BLACK
connector to the control unit situated behind the bulkhead on the passenger’s side. Place the dip switches No.3 and 4 of
the alarm in ON.
BOOT and DOORS PIN SWITCHES: connect to the BROWN/YELLOW wire pos.7 in the 54 pin BLACK connector to the
control unit situated behind the bulkhead on the passenger’s side. For the connections refer to the “MINI BOOT and
DOORS PIN SWITCHES” diagram at the page 2.
NOTE 1: it is possible to install the GT403/4 alarm.
1- The alarm position, the alarm positive and negative, the indicators connection, the ignition switched live, the engine
immobilisation and the boot pin switch connection must be carried out as abovementioned.
2- OTHER CONNECTIONS: follow the fitting instructions included in the box except for the wires:
YELLOW/BROWN and YELLOW/GREY: connect to a permanent + 12 Volt.
RED/BROWN: connect to the WHITE wire pos.45 (positive actuator impulse when closing doors).
RED/GREY: connect to the LIGHT BLUE wire pos.38 (positive actuator impulse when opening doors).
The wires in the 54 pin BLACK connector to the control unit situated behind the bulkhead on the passenger’s side.
3- ALARM SET FUNCTIONS: with the GREEN/BROWN wire and the GREEN wire to earth and the YELLOW wire to the
existing ignition switched live select the following alarm functions, before carrying out the impulses self-coding (see TABLE
SET FUNCTIONS in the GT403/4 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS):
- Courtesy light switching on when arming; isolated (LED no. 7 off).
- Optical signalling when arming/disarming; inserted (LED no. 8 on).
- Door closing switch polarity; negative (LED no. 7 off).
- Door opening switch polarity; negative (LED no. 9 off).
- Vehicles with C.D.L. impulse function after actuator; isolated (LED no. 10 off).
- Vehicles with C.D.L. actuator impulse variable; inserted (LED no. 11 on).
4- CAR IMPULSES SELF-CODING:
a- Check that all the wires are connected except for the BLUE/VIOLET wire that will be connected as indicated in the
point 5.
b- Close really the doors, the boot and the bonnet.
b- To enter self-coding press the bonnet pin switch 10 times.
c- Close really the bonnet.
d- Press the transmitter locking button (the alarm will emit 1 beep to confirm the closing impulses memorisation).
e- Wait 5 seconds.
f- Press the transmitter unlocking button (the alarm will emit 2 beep to confirm the opening impulses memorisation).
5- ELECTRIC WINDOWS: to have this function when arming the alarm, connect the BLUE/VIOLET alarm wire to the
LIGHT BLUE/RED wire pos.28 of the C.D.L. (doors closing negative command + electric windows) only after the car
impulses self-coding has been carried out.
NOTE 2: the GT403/4 alarm is armed and disarmed also with the door key lock on the driver’s door side.

ALARM POSITION: sirens and compact alarms should be placed on the shock -absorber on the driver’s side. Control units and
modules should be situated under the dashboard on the passenger’s side. For the passage of cab les use the existing loom
situated on the engine compartment bulkhead on the passenger’s side in the anti -pollen filterbox compartment not used .
ALARM FEED: connect the positive and the earth directly to the terminals of battery .
INDICATORS: for the left side, it should be connected with 3A 3 diodes the wires: BLUE/GREEN pos. 1, LIGHT BLUE/YELLOW
pos. 18 and LIGHT BLUE/GREEN pos. 50. For the right side, it should be connected with 3A 3 diodes the wires: BLUE/YELLOW
pos. 3, BLUE/BROWN pos. 11 and BLUE/BROWN pos. 43. Carry out the connections as the “BMW 328 INDICATORS”
hereunder. These connectors are to the dipping switch control unit on the dashboard on the driver’s side .
IGNITION SWITCHED LIVE: the VIOLET/YELLOW wire to the fuse No. 9 in the fusebox situate d behind the object slide
compartment on the passenger’s side .
ENGINE IMMOBILISATION: cut the RED/VIOLET wire connected to the fuse No. 54 in the fusebox behind the object slide
compartment on the passenger’s side .
Starter immobilisation (for preset alarms only): cut the BLACK/LIGHT BLUE wire to the ignition switch .
CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING + ELECTRIC WINDOWS: follow the connections diagram no.4/B. Negative commands. Opening
doors command: WHITE/BLACK wire pos. 20. Closing doors command: LIGHT BLUE/RED wire pos . 22. These wires are in the 54
pin central connector to the C.D.L. control unit behind the object slide compartment on the passenger’s side. To have the electric
windows unlocking select the following times: Unlocking: 1 sec.; locking: 30 sec ..
DOORS PIN SWITCHES: To invert the positive impulse in a negative impulse use a relay (see BMW 328 DOORS PIN
SWITCHES diagram). Use the RED/LIGHT BLUE wire pos. 10 situated in the 54 pin central connector of the C.D.L. control unit
behind the object slide compartment on the passenger’s side .
BOOT PIN SWITCH: connect to the WHITE/BROWN wire in the group of cables coming out from the existing loom of the boot
door to the right. Carry out the connection as the “BMW 328 BOOT PIN SWITCH” diagram hereunder.
NOTE 1: it is possible to use the original transmitter system installing the GT103 alarm. To arm the alarm connect the
RED/BROWN wire to the BLACK wire of the alarm pos. 16. To disarm the alarm connect the YELLOW/BROWN wire to the LIGHT
BLUE wire of alarm pos. 51. These w ires are in the 54 pin central connector of the C.D.L. control unit behind the object slide
compartment on the passenger’s side. Use the connector for positive alarm commands .

1 – The alarm position, the alarm positive and negative, the indicators connection, the ignition switched live, the engine
immobilisation and the boot pin switch connection must be carried out as abovementioned.
2 – OTHER CONNECTIONS: follow the fitting instructions included in th e box except for the wires:
- YELLOW/BROWN and the YELLOW/GREY to a constant +12V.
- RED/BROWN to the BLACK wire pos.16 (positive actuator impulse when closing doors) in the 54 pin central control unit of the
C.D.L. control unit behind the object slide compart ment on the passenger’s side.
- RED/GREY to the LIGHT BLUE wire pos.51 (positive actuator impulse when opening doors) in the 54 pin central connector of
the C.D.L. control unit behind the object slide compartment on the passenger’s side.
3 – ALARM SET FUNCTI ONS: connect the GREEN/BROWN wire to earth and select the following alarm functions, before
carrying out the car impulses self -coding (see TABLE SET FUNCTIONS in the GT403/4 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS):
- Courtesy light switching on when disarming; isolated (LED no. 7 off).

4 – CAR IMPULSES SELF -CODING: check the connections and carry out the self-coding, with the doors, the bonnet and the boot
closed (in case of problems in the self -coding operation it is necessary to off switch the GT403/4 with the emergency key before
the vehicle’s automatic locking has been carried out, and check the in stallation).
NOTE 2: the GT403/4 alarm will arm and disarm also with the lock front doors key on the driver’s side .
