EXECUTIVE SUMMARY I have been working for Vuzix Corporation, USA as Executive Manager for quite some time now. The CEO of the company has told me to come up with a novel product concept. So after doing my research I have come up with a one of its type product concept known as VGen Induced which is 3D virtual reality physical presence device working on induced current and solar energy. It is an electronic entertainment device aimed or targeted for the age group between 16-70 years but its main target market is that between 16-35 years. As this age group is more into electronic entertainment and latest flashy out of the world technology. Its a sophisticated device so cant be targeted for age group below 16 years. Whereas the device can be successfully implemented into medical and defense use also. Various tools have been used for various purposes here is the list of following tools use. For problem identification SWOT analysis, 5W1H, Laddering technique combined with lateral thinking is used and Concept Fan. For idea generation Mind Map, Lotus Blossom, Attribute Listing, Scamper and Force Fitting Trigger are used. For idea evaluation Sticking Dots technique, Plus Minus Interesting and Force Field Analysis are used.

INTRODUCTION As the time passes by, the stress and pressure keeps on mounting on people living today in this technological savvy 21st century metropolitans. Time does not stop for anyone. People dont have time to relax and have some entertainment (fun). Students need to keep on studying day and night to get good grades. The graduates need to find jobs for themselves and the freshly employed have to work hard to have name for them. So to give people some much needed easily available entertainment in short span of time our company will introduce the VGen Induced into the mainstream market in 1-2 years from now. So that they do not have to go out in search of mode of entertainment and waste their time and money. For students it can be used for education, innovation, learning and creative purposes. For others (25-35 years) it can simply be used as futuristic and cool gadget which has multi-purposes. Seeing the social and immersive trends and the latest converging technologies and diverging applications, it is a product which has to be a hit in the market. Where as it is also a mode of escaping the reality for a while and being in control of the destiny or at least have an illusion of being in control. Consumer or the customer using the product can play games with virtual reality (muscle movement sensor) on a 3D screen 150 inches wide. You can even see movies, read ebooks, play games as if you are playing it yourself physically with help of body sensors, find places on google maps etc on the screen. You just have to wear the VGen Induced which is very similar to normal googles . ( Rest of the features and technological aspects of the device is explained in Prouct Description section) My company Vuzix was founded by Paul Travers in 1997 with its headquater at Rochester, New York. Vuzix Corporation is a privately held company and manufacturing Video Eyewear and personal display devices for the mobile video, entertainment, defense and consumer market. It has its sales offices at Rochester, New York and Tokyo, Japan. Some of the recent awards company has won are Two 2007 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Awards, 2006 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation of the Year Award for European Mobile & Wireless services, 2006 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award, 2005 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award and 2005 Micro Display Report "Best Buzz" Award.

3. Laddering technique: Laddering techniques involve the creation, reviewing and modification of hierarchical knowledge, often in the form of ladders. It is an ends-chain technique. We start from one particular idea till we get (here product) what we need.

Conclusion: From the laddering above we get our answers to 2 questions. First how can VGen Induced be classified under Optical Instrument and why is it being derived from Optical Instrument. As glass is optical instrument which form the screen of the goggles, which can be used for projection to give an effect of big screen having 3D effect. This can be modified into Virtual 3D reality which is our product VGen Induced. As VGen Induced is a part of Optical Instrument it can be used for various visual purpose as in microscope, telescope, camera, to see movies, read eBooks etc.

4. SCAMPER: It is technique using a set of directed questions which you answer about your probortunity in order to come up with new ideas. The stimulus comes from forcing yourself to answer questions which you would not normally pose. Conclusion: VGen Induced has more supporting factors than restricting factors so it can be launched in market. It is using advanced technology, has multiple uses and is very comfortable to use. Functions and features of the device

It will be one of its kind product of this century. It has an ability to cause a revolution in electronic entertainment world.

It is basically a 3D virtual reality gaming device with a 3D screen of 150 inches (illusion) with muscle movement sensors. So that player can play games as if he\she were playing it actually with full felling due to the 3D reality and muscles movement sensor technology. It can be used to play 5-10 multiplayer games. It can be used to see movies, videos in 3D format, read eBooks, articles etc in 3D on gigantic screen. You feel as if you are inside the screen being one of the characters in the movie or the game.

It is a sort of plug and use device. It can be used with telescope, microscope, camera, GPS, simulators, PDAs, laptop, television, music system etc. If these devices does not have the plug in feature, they can connect using Bluetooth, WI-Fi or IR technology. This device is charged using induced emf and solar energy technology. If you arent using the device it can be used as goggles with color changing lens (on your wish) which implies electro chromatic technology. The lens of the device or goggles is made of Elastolite which is a crushable and unbreakable optical fibre. As this device is going to be expensive while being light and portable there are chances of it being stolen so to make it secure we have put sim card into the head set for GPS tracking system technology if it gets lost or stolen.

CONCLUSION

Vgen Induced is an advanced flashy, trendy, useful, cool and safe device which is ahead of its time in many ways. It has many features, uses and is so adaptable with current electronic (audio and visual) devices that it cant have any competitor reaching close to it in near time. It gives entertainment, fun and out of world experience to its user without wasting lot of their time and money once they have it. Only big drawback for it is its price. Management, engineers and scientist will try their best to find a way out to reduce the product price so that it can be marketed to a wider market and can be afforded by people who arent very rich.

Conclusion for Concept Fan: We wanted to know what can be done to improve our product so as to market it to a wider market. So we chose 4 different directions. We researched in each direction and got some concepts we can think upon with more depth. So we came up with some ideas which could improve our product and make it more marketable. With 1 question we have come up with 16 ideas to work upon now. So now we have 16 new ideas (choices) which we can look onto and decide which ones are the best to use. To improve our product we improve its design .We use waterproof and light\stronger material. We enhance its security by using inbuilt sim card or we can use in built microcontroller chip which sends us message when our device crosses a given area. To improve the technology we work with the lens and the battery. We make the lens which is crushable and can change colors and we can make battery charge by induced emf and solar energy. We can add more features as night vision and leds. We can improve the value for money by making our product to be work in outdoors and giving better after sale services as customer care, repair etc. We need to think differently about males and females as our buyers as both are quite different. They like different colors and patterns. Males like dark colored futuristic and cool gadgets while, females like bright colored cute and simple looking gadgets.

Conclusion for Attribute Listing: Here are features of our product which we break down into what all design, technology etc we have chosen to use. We have chosen the best for our product .We give an idea for what all our particular Attributes are being used for in our product.

Seeing the outcome of sticky star you can see VGen Induced is superior to the others in many ways.It has wide field of use whereas other competitors are mainly used for gaming. Design (colors , weight , comfort ,styling , modelling etc) of our product is far superior and futuristic. And the technology (Eluminosite, color changing lens , carbon fiber, virtual reality etc) is ahead by a distance compared to others. Sound and video quality is fantastic but Samsung (Nvidia) product can give tough competition here. Whereas functions are concerned our product has many functions like can be used as goggles, spy cam, torch etc and can be even modified more with connection to other products. As for ease of use customer need some education as it is a sophisticated product compared to others. Our product is superbly priced seeing its technology and design but then also price is quite high compared to others. While the value of money is best for our product. Availability of the product is still of a concern seeing the other competitors.
