DENNISONS IN UGANDA - SAMS - P.O.

Box 399 - Abridge, PA 15003

Greetings from Uganda! Can you believe we have been in Africa as missionaries for three years now? We are so thankful for the continued opportunity to serve God at Uganda Christian University. Much of Brians time is spent in the clinical legal education program. Law students in the clinical program have made an impact by staging community legal trainings, interviewing indigent criminal defendants, and helping Ugandans write wills. The clinical program is a great way for students to incorporate Christian mission into their legal training. In his amazing way, the Lord continues to link Brian up with great partners such as International Justice Mission, Pepperdine University, Joni & Friends and Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity. These partners continue to open up new doors for the Faculty of Law and its students. Mary Jane and the kids have found a great ministry opportunity at Acheru, about 20 minutes away from UCU. At Acheru, the children are receiving medical treatment for everything ranging from serious burns to misshapen limbs. Many of them live there for several months at the time. Unfortunately, most of their days are spent idly with little stimulation. MJ and the kids teach songs and bring along a bag full of tricks (play doh, bubbles, and crafts) to keep the children engaged. Mary Jane was also recently selected to be the ex-patriate representative on the UCU Parish council. This body is similar to a vestry.

Charlotte and David are now both enrolled in home school. Charlotte is spending a lot of time playing piano while David has agreed to take on guitar. They both love playing tag for hours with their friends. No cars and no errands means more time to run and just enjoy being kids! Robert continues his obsession with a Superman costume. It is not an unusual site to see a three-foot high, red-headed Superman striding across campus. We are confident that the general public feels safer having Superman around. Meanwhile, Carol is a cute and cuddly bundle of curls and energy. She is quite the bird watcher as well, often pointing to birds on our front porch and saying See bird. In May, Mary Jane and kids headed west and spent several days deep in the village of Bushenyi. What an amazing adventure! They enjoyed playing with goats, experiencing a lifestyle without plumbing or electricity, and distributing clothing and toys to the local children. We have so much more wed love to share. The best way to keep up with us is to check our blogs at http://web.me.com/ dbriandennison We enjoy writing them and are glad to learn that many of you enjoy reading them as well. Note that the address has changed just a bit from the old one (me has replaced mac.) The mac site is still up for now if you want to check out older blog posts, but we are no longer updating it. Here in Mukono, God continues to show us new and amazing ways to serve Him. The opportunities for meaningful service are everywhere. Uganda Christian University is an inspiring place full of young Ugandans who desire to make a meaningful impact in Uganda, East Africa and the Kingdom of God. We are so glad to be a part of it. Thank you for making it possible! We are in need of your financial support at this time in order to continue with our mission at UCU. Please consider partnering with us as senders. Thank you for lifting our family in prayer and for your past support. We have already seen many returns on your investments in Gods people in Uganda, and we hope to continue to do so, with your help! Blessings to you and yours, The Dennisons - Brian, Mary Jane, Charlotte, David, Robert, and Carol
