Brooks Assistant Superintendent for Administration September 15, 2011 Consider and, if Appropriate, Take Action to Adopt a Resolution to Submit BISDs Nomination for Jefferson County Appraisal District Board of Directors The counties, cities, towns, and school districts in each county appraisal district will select new board members this fall. These new board members will serve a two-year term beginning January 1, 2012. It is time for our Board to make nominations to the Jefferson County Board of Directors and submit that (those) name(s) in writing to Mr. Roland Biebers office at the Jefferson County Appraisal District by October 15, 2011. Each voting unit may nominate from one to five candidates. To be eligible for the Appraisal District Board, a person must reside in the appraisal district for at least two years preceding the date that he or she takes office. Mr. Eugene Landry is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors. A resolution has been prepared for use in making any nominations.

RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Eugene Landry is a resident of the Beaumont Independent School District, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas: and WHEREAS, Eugene Landry is a person duly qualified to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Central Appraisal District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees, Beaumont Independent School District, that Eugene Landry is hereby nominated to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Central Appraisal District for the period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013. The foregoing resolution was adopted as a valid action of the Board of Trustees of Beaumont Independent School District at a duly noticed meeting of that body on September 15, 2011, at which a quorum was present and voting.
