MY AIM IN LIFE (Standard)

Life is not bed of roses. It is a bed of thorns. It is full of hardship. It is often said life is challenge. To face this challenge, we should have a definite aim in view. Then we must make effort to achieve. Aim is very important in life. It strengthens and emboldens us. It provides direction to our thinking and brings our energies to one point. It is like a guide star which directs us in the difficulties of life. Without aim, life is like a desert where no flower blooms. There are as many aims as men. Some people want to be civil and military officers. Some want to be engineers, doctors, lawyers or politicians. Some others want to become poets and novelists or artist or architect. So, man should choose his aim according to his taste, inclination and choice otherwise he will fail in life. I am inclined to teaching. I want to become a Lecturer because he is the maker of the nation. He is like a lamp that spreads light all around. He is like a ladder that remains at its place but helps others go higher and higher. Our people work on the body of the men. The lecturer works on the body and soul of the man. He leads people in the darkness of life. He directs them to Allah. He prepares young men for practical life. He makes them useful citizen who may shoulder the responsibilities of life. He always remains ever young, ever active and ever smart. His thinking is always right and young. He is very responsible member of society. He is the model for his nation. He is highly educated. He draws handsome salary. He leads an honourable life. His character is always flawless. That is why; I am charmed by the life of a lecturer. I am interested in Urdu. The very verses of Urdu haunt me. It is my national language. I am true patriot. I shall devote myself to the development and progress of Urdu. I shall be able to express my inner self in Urdu easily and serve my nation. That is why; I want to become a lecturer in Urdu. I know lofty aims require hard struggle. Hence, I shall work day and night to achieve my goal. I shall get admission to the Punjab University after doing my B.A. there I shall do my M.A in Urdu with distinction and become a lecturer. Then I shall lead a hard and active life. I shall work day and night to impart fresh and latest knowledge to my students. I shall be contented to think that I am making real contributions to the national cause.
