People who followed Jesus’ teaching, supported
Fulfilled prophecies of a Savior to be
sent from God and was the Son of God.
Performed miracles and taught others
about God’s laws. Formed the Disciples,
the greatest team ever assembled.
Jesus performed many miracles.
Sometimes they were in public places
where many people saw them, and
sometimes He only allowed a few people
to know about them.
For the last three
years of His life,
Jesus walked all
over the country tell-
ing as many people
as possible about
His message of
salvation.
His ministry and sometimes traveled with Him.
A special group were selected by Jesus after
praying all night long. He selected 12 disciples
to be closest to Him, calling them Apostles.
Every year the Jews ate a special meal
called Passover to celebrate God saving
them from slavery in Egypt. Jesus told
His disciples to eat this special meal to
remember Him.
The towel and basin are tools a servant uses
to wash the feet of visitors to a home. Jesus
used a towel and basin to wash His disciples
feet, and these items have become symbols of
being a servant like Jesus.
Introduced to Jesus by his brother
Andrew. Did not think of himself worthy to
be a disciple. Wrote two letters that
became part of our Bible: 1st and 2nd
Peter.
The disciples feet walked on dirt roads
following Jesus all over the country.
Peter’s feet even got to walk on the
water with Jesus. Jesus washed the
disciples’ feet to show them how to
serve others with love.
Wearing sandles and walking
on dirt roads add up to some
very dirty and smelly feet.
Even though Jesus was the
leader and the Son of God,
He took the lowest servants
job and washed the feet
of his disciples.
