Reactions to The Pianist

Watching Jewish prosperity digress into Jewish disparity contributed struck me most

throughout the film. Wald’s family seemed to live within the upper crust of society as the

storyline and plot began. The Germans wasted no time, however, in stripping Wald’s family of

the dignity and pride they once exhibited. Watching the plot unfold, and the horrors of the

Holocaust acted out before my eyes, what I was shocked by the bloodiness of the event, but more

hurt by German mindset which viewed Jews as nothing more than animals.

In all physical wars there are brutal killings and bloodshed, but Genocide is much more
