All of this harassment simply because an African American businesswoman broke the glass ceiling and earned an HISD bond contract. Over $2 billion in HISD bond contracts have been awarded to non-Black females without question or challenge. Yet the moment a Black female follows the rules and earns an award here comes the Tea Party people complaining and wanting the rules changed. That reporter never would have done that to former board presidents Harvin Moore, Manny Rodriguez, or even Laurie Bricker. This has gone too far.

Hello all, We had a very unfortunate incident in the board office tonight and I am extremely uncomfortable about this. As you know these pass few weeks Mike Cronin with the watchdog has been harassing me because I will not interview with him. Some of you received an email about it today. Tonight, after agenda review he was allowed to come into our office area with no appointment to find a "board member" to interview. I was in a cubicle and he came and blocked me in and starting asking questions, when I told him I was busy he continued to blocked me in the cubicle where I could not pass and he continued to harass me. It was not until Suzanne threatened to call security that he would allow me out of the cubicle. I felt extremely threatened and unsafe. He was taping me without permission and of course he has called to say he is writing a story on this attack tomorrow (go figure). My husband wants a restraining order because of the multiple emails, twitting and Facebook post that seem as though he is desperate to get me to talk to him. I need this district to ensure that this person is not allowed to box me into any space and accost me again. Please let me know what steps you are taking to keep our area secure and to let this blog know this will not be tolerated on HISD property. Paula
