A good teacher is a strict teacher

-Opinion essayNowadays a good teacher is not the same with a good teacher from the other decades, when he was always a strict one and all the pupils stood still , not moving a finger for the fear of him. On the one hand a good teacher has to be fair with all the students and understands them. He has to take all the actions and needs of the students into consideration and if he sees that a student stays away from the class activities he should try to encourage the student to take part, too. On the other hand a good teacher has to be strict sometimes, because otherwise there can be students that gain from their goodness and lose the respect for their teachers. Any issue that is pointless for the students should be punished immediately and the student should meet the schools psychologist and talk about the reason for his action. This meeting could prevent another mistake of the student and the hate that he could feel for the teacher or his classmates. In my opinion a good teacher is the one who has a friendly , understanding attitude and makes the students love their teaching line ,and not the one who is strict. Of course it does not mean that when a student goes step out of line the teacher should act like nothing happened. He should indeed take control of the situation. All in all , i think a good teacher is not a strict one, but a combination of the two terms . Word count: 184
