Que tan engaosa es la Retrica Revolucuionaria de Latinoamrica?

Although Cubas Fidel Castro, as one of the fathers of revolution, continues to verbally assault the U.S. and essential democratic principles, Cuba is playing it safe and cautious not to stagger too far off the beaten path of a much better informed world audience.

Aunque la Cuba de Fidel Castro, uno de los padres de la revolucin, contina asaltando verbalmente a USA y a sus principios democrticos esenciales, Cuba esta cuidandose y siendo cautelosa para no pasarse de la raya con la audiencia mundial mejor informada.
An exception to this apparent rule is Castros admiration for his protg, President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. Castro does not hesitate to wave the much tattered Cuban revolutionary flag when speaking of his admired pupil.

Una excepcin a esta regla es la administracin de su protegido, el presidente Hugo Chvez de Venezuela. Castro no escatima en agitar la andrajosa bandera revolucionaria cubana cuando habla de su admirado alumno.
An op-ed column last week by Fidel Castro graphically demonstrated his remaining true moniker of world dictator. He remarked, Given its exceptional educational, cultural, social development and its immense energy and natural resources, Venezuela is called upon to become a revolutionary model for the world. And with what must have been a monumental attempt to be sincere and appear rational, he added, I had long conversations with (Chavez) yesterday and today. I explained to him the intensity w ith which I am devoting my remaining energies to dreams of a better and more just world. While praising the friendly nations of Russia and China, Castro said that together with the peoples of the so -called Third World in Asia, Africa and Latin America, (they) could attain the goal of saving humanity from capitalism.

Castros usual heady dialogue always fails to confess the financial and institutional destruction of the Cuban mainland and the horrible sacrifices imposed on the populace by iro n-fisted communist dictatorial rule. And the Castro agenda, once again, telegraphed the proverbial passing of the now dimly lit torch of radical rhetoric to Hugo Chavezs narrowing optical imagination.

El usual dialogo castrista siempre deja de confesar la destruccin financiera e institucional de la tierra cubana y los terribles sacrificios impuestos a la gente por medio del puo de hierro de su mandato comunista dictatorial. La agenda de Castro una vez ms transmite el pase de la antorcha ya medio apagada de retrica radical a la imaginacin ptica cada vez ms estrecha de Hugo Chvez.
Furthermore, Castros revolutionary hysteria appears to have taken a curious back seat with Cubas silence on the death of Libyas Muammar Gaddafi, while having and maintai ning a very strong mutual support relationship.

Adems, la histeria revolucionaria de Castro parece haber tomado un curioso lugar con su silencio en cuanto a la muerte de Gadafi a pesar de que mantenan una relacin de apoyo mutuo muy fuerte.

To the verbal rescue of those revolutionaries remaining mute, Venezuelas Chavez stepped up quickly to say, (Gaddafis death is) an outrage. We shall remember Gaddafi our whole lives as a great fighter, a revolutionary and a martyr. Owed loyalty could be attributed to Chavezs ego, after having been awarded the Algaddafi International Prize for Human Rights, a prize granted by the Libyan leader. Cubas Fidel Castro and Nicaraguas Daniel Ortega were also past recipients of the award.

Para salir al rescate de esos revolucionarios que permanecen callados, Chvez rapidamente sali a declarar que la muerte de Gadafi era una violacin. Debemos recordar a Gadafi a lo largo de nuestras vidas como un gran luchador, un revolucionario y un martir. Considering apparent major voids of factual events in praise by Castro, Chavez and (Nicaraguas) Ortega of each others human rights achievements, one must question their words and thoughts related to nati onal liberation and social revolution and then refuse support to the overwhelming majority of Libyans in their battle for freedom against dictatorial rule and public dissent.

Considerando los aparentes vacos en las alabanzas de Castro acerca de los eventos ocurridos, premios de logros humanitarios a Chvez y Ortega, uno debe cuestionar sus palabras y pensamientos en cuanto a la liberacin nacional y la revolucin social cuando niegan el apoyo a la abrumadora mayora de los libios en su inconformidad pblica luchando por la libertad contra un regimen dictatorial.

Ms de 1,000 indios que se oponen a una autopista en la jungla amaznica de Bolivia marcharon la semana pasada hasta la capital despus de 63 das de protestas. El gobierno que con batazos trat de disolver las marchas, di pi a acusaciones contra Evo Morales por descriminar a los grupos indigenas del Amazonas de Bolivia.

Ecuadors Correa too has had problems. Last year Correas own brother , Fabricio Correa, said the nation is being directed from Venezuela in an effort to impose a political model that is widely rejected. Now everybody rebels, and students, indigenous people and professors are against a Venezuelan project that nobody wan ts in Ecuador. A totalitarian model is intended to be established.

Tambin Correa de Ecuador ha tenido problemas. El ao pasado su propio hermano, Fabricio Correa dijo que la nacin est siendo dirigida desde Venezuela con la intencin de imponer un modelo poltico que es ampliamente rechazado. Ahora todo el mundo se revela y los estudiantes, los indigenas y los profesores estan contra el proyecto de Venezuela que nadie quiere en Ecuador. Se esta tratando de imponer un modelo totalitario.
Rafael Correa was attacked in 2010 in what he described as an attempted coup dtat (and kidnapping) from his own police force. Soldiers subsequently arrived with tanks and submachine guns, opened fire on the police, and a fierce gun battle ensued.
