In the health care Iield beIore a doctor can treat someone they must Iirst retrieve the patient`s
medical history. At times doctors are unable to be reached, or they are reached but must now
wait Ior a Iax oI the records, and many times the patient must go to their doctors` oIIice and
pick up their records. The want Ior a system where associates in the health care Iield can look
into a system and retrieve a patient`s inIormation without wait time to locate and retrieve the
documents is great and has now been established as a need. Approximately 15 oI
companies are now implementing a cloud base system where inIormation is stored. The time
taken to locate and communicate with the original doctor to get a patient`s records is time
lost to aid another patient or may prove to save another. What is currently missing is a system
that is secure and capable oI maintaining and distributing inIormation when accessed by
authorized personnel.
Project purpose
The purpose oI the project is to establish a secure universal patient record system Ior
hospitals, doctors` oIIices, and other healthcare providers to share patient records in a single
location.
Project Objectives
The cloud database will store all the patient inIormation according to the patient`s
identiIication number in the database. InIormation needed about the patients` history must be
easily extracted by medical proIessionals no matter their location. To meet this requirement it
will take 23 weeks due to high priority oI security as well as integrating patient inIormation.
The measure oI success oI this objective will be measured at three locations; location one is
the creation oI the cloud, location two will be at the end oI the integration oI the additional
security, and lastly will be when the cloud is available Ior use by the health care
proIessionals. Cisco will also be subcontracted Ior the creation oI the cloud database process
which includes setting up the hardware, establishing the inIrastructure, and creating tier
based security certiIicates.

Compliance to HIPPA standards is a requirement in order to launch the database and
keep the patients records saIe Irom non-medical personnel. This will be implemented at the
beginning oI this project by the 3
th
week oI this project. This objective will be met by
Iollowing the HIPPA standards as well as the FIPS-140.3 standards. Meeting FIPS
compliance will serve as a measure oI success Ior this project objective.
Cisco hardware will be some oI the hardware being procured and installed to keep the
database secure and create the platIorm Ior the database. Cisco will also be subcontracted Ior
the creation oI the cloud database process and will set up the hardware based on current up to
date hardware Ior a structured cloud inIrastructure. This objective will be met during the
initial cloud creation.
Atop oI the standard Cisco security that complied with HIPPA standards there will be
additional security integrated into the cloud such as encrypted servers, tier base security
levels, and certiIied certiIicates that all the users must procure in order to enter the database.
This objective will be met during the Iinal steps oI the cloud creation process.
To meet the requirement Ior Iuture expansion some space will be integrated into the
cloud alongside the additional hardware that made it possible. Due to the nature oI the
Ioundation oI the project, cloud expansion is always available. This objective will be met
during the initial cloud creation.
Project Scope of Activities

Project Management Strategy

The Project Team
The Project Team is comprised oI Christian Gonzalez, the Project Manager, Tamika Roland
the Project Coordinator, and Teria Edwards the Human Resource manager who have a role in
perIorming the work on the project. The project team needs to have a clear understanding oI
the work to be completed and the Iramework in which the project is to be executed. Since
Innovative Contractors is responsible Ior completing the work Ior the project they each play a

key role in creating the Project Plan including deIining its schedule and work packages. The
Project Team requires a detailed level oI communication which is achieved through day to
day interaction with the Project Manager and other team members along with weekly team
meetings.
