backup pds using p2k easy tool, for v360/l7 with 08.d0/09.02 bootloader

1. you have to get your phone detected as s blank neptune lte2 first, either by testpointing
<http://yuetblog.blogspot.com/2006/10/disassemble-testpoint-unlock-v360l7.html> or by flashing to
the blankneptunelte2 flash file <http://yuetblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/flash-to-s-blank-neptune-
lte2.html>. (if you get blank neptune by flashing, you may want to repair it before backup. for 09.02,
the only reliable way is by testpoint.)
2. start p2k easy tool v3.9, select your phone model, select "read" tab, choose "read pds backup",
double click the text box to choose where to save the pds file
3. disconnect, then connect your phone to computer via usb cable, wait for a few seconds
4. click button "do selected jobs" in p2k easy tool
5. if successful, you should see the messages
code::
loader send ok reading... powering down...

2.can anyone enlighten me on each code group and it's function and perhaps what program should i use
to edit it?
cg1 = flash = the os = use fb3 to patch, or hexeditor to edit.
cg2 = flex = the application & user data = use p2ktools to get/put file, edit seem, etc.
cg3 = dsp = audio setting. normally no need to change.
cg4 = lp = language = use shxcodec to split/compile, use binary editor to change font.
cg6 = pds = secured data = not included in mp
cg7, cg18 = signature = no need to change unless removing rsa protection, use randomrsa to patch rsa.
cg15 = drm = graphics = use shxcodec to edit.

3.how did you put your signature in the mp?(like wolf's mp, when i connect it i appears v360 by
wolf2007
change firmware version in flash, flex version in flex, change boot picture, etc...
lets say you have some code groups in sgm/bin format and you want to compile them into an shx file.
you 'll need 2 things:flash&backup and a monsterpack that works with your bootloader.i am pretty sure
everyone has a yuetmod mp so i 'll use that for the guide.

1) first open flash&backup and go to "firmwares" tab

2) press "select file" and browse to the yuetmod mp (or the mp that works for you) and open
it.flash&backup will display the contents of yuemod mp.
3) my advice is to select every code group and delete it using the "delete" button
now you are ready to start adding your files.
4) press "add" and browse to the file you want to select.once you open it flash&backup will ask you
which code group is the file you are adding and the start address of the code group
select the code group from the drop down menu and as for the start address select according to this:
cg1 10092000
cg2 11240000
cg3 10040000
cg4 110a0000
cg7 11f80000
cg15 10e60000
cg18 11fe0000

keep doing step 4 this until you have added all the files you wanted.
5) then simply press "save as", give a name to the file and select save in shx format.
so easy.

this guide isn't perfect.for example you can choose not to delete all the codegroups of yuetmod mp but
to replace them with you own files using the "replace" button.
or you can even compile an shx file without the need of yuetmod mp.that would mean that you need to
have the ramloader that works for you and adding it using the "select ramdld"
but i believe the steps as i described them above are simple to follow.

update on 5 sep 2007: bug cause found and fixed. i've just uploaded the fixed versions. if you are
currently using wolf2007 mp 1.2 and you wish to keep your existing settings and files, flash from this
mp only cg1, cg3, cg7 and cg18.
if you are using a multifonts mp and want to flash it to another mp without multifonts patch.

if multifonts patched mp directly flash to mp without mp

e.g using wolf mp v1.2 then flash to yuetmod 3.2 = dead phone

u all need to flash your phone into a full mp(with langpack) or stock mp before flash the wanted
mp(that does'nt have lp) on your phone

ok, on the v360 this is possibly the best video result ever, i found that avi files make the best
conversions. if i get an mpg or a wmf i just convert them to avi then convert them to 3gp. the videos are
stunning!! settings: video codec: h263 (mpeg4) video size:176x144 bit rate: 150 frame rate: 11 bit
tolerance:60 audio codec:amr_nb bit rate: 48 sample rate: 8000 channels: 1(mono) disable audio: false
of course you can change the bit rate to much lower values.i have converted video using these settings
with bit rate just 40 and still the result is unbelievable. have fun!
