Harry Potter, the title character of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” (as well as the

other six books in the series), also occupies the position of main character. Throughout the novel,
he certainly lives up to the goals of the mission statement, as well as anyone feasibly could. He
repeatedly exemplifies the qualities of responsibility to others, constant self-realization and
improvement through “life-long learning,” and, eventually, emergence as a dedicated,
independent, and moral person.
In the course of the Harry Potter series, of which “Hallows” is the culmination, one of
Harry’s most noticeable traits is his faithfulness to others; not only his friends, but his “inferiors”
(such as Dobby the House Elf, who is the equivalent of an indentured servant) and even his
enemies, like Draco Malfoy.
