Explain how it happened that Snowball stopped to be a hero and started to be a traitor Snowball was one of the cleverest

animals on the farm. He was doing his best for the animals. He planned how to make the life of the animals easier. After the Battle of the Cowshed he even earned a first class hero honour. But after his expulsion from the farm Napoleon and Squealer made a traitor of him. Napoleon decided to make a traitor of Snowball because he wanted to gain all the power on the farm and this was the way to usurp it. It was pretty easy for Napoleon to do so when Snowball was not present on the farm anymore. Napoleon was blaming Snowball from all negative things and made up whole structure of arguments against him. The animals were not clever enough to recognise Napoleons intention. Napoleon persuaded the animals that Snowball is a traitor. Spreading propaganda on the Animal Farm significantly contributed to the general opinion that Snowball was a traitor. There were spread false ideas about him. Napoleon persuaded animals that Snowball was visiting the farm in the night. Napoleon claimed that it was Snowball, who destroyed the windmill -their better future. He also claimed that Snowball was plotting with humans beings. The animals were thinking about the past and started to believe that Snowball was a traitor instead of one class hero. The animals believed Napoleon every word he said. This shows that propaganda is very powerful tool. Squealers brilliant speeches were another aspect which made a traitor of Snowball. In his persuasive speeches he simply brainwashed the animals. He made them believe that Snowball was plotting with Mr. Jones. As a proof he added that pigs found some secret documents in the house. Squealer did not give to animals any chance to doubt. All his speeches had one goal- to make a traitor of Snowball. Squealer was successful in gaining this aim. To sup up, firstly it was Napoleons desire for the leadership what made a traitor of Snowball. Secondly, well- prepared propaganda was very strong tool how to persuade the animals that Snowball is nothing else but the traitor. Last but not least, Napoleon used Squealers talking skills to persuade the animals. The animals had no doubt that Snowball is a traitor.
