I often read about street accidents in the newspapers. Yesterday, I actually saw an accident with my own eyes. It was about three and I was in the flower shop on Cambridge Road. While I was waiting for my turn, I looked out the window and saw a bus coming down the street. I remember noticing it was coming rather fast. The driver tried to overtake a car by the traffic lights but suddenly a motorbike appeared. He tried to avoid a collision and swerved to the right. Unfortunately, the bus ran into a shop opposite the traffic lights, breaking the windows and frightening all the customers. The police came very quickly and an ambulance was called as ten people were injured. Three people were taken to hospital but the rest were given first aid on the spot. After helping the injured, the police questioned the bus driver and arrested him for his dangerous driving. The accident occurred in a highly congested area where the road is not very wide. There are shops on both sides and there is no sidewalk, so pedestrians have to use the road. Luckily, I was on the other side of the road.

Music

I woke up one morning to the sound of my favourite song. I couldnt understand where it was coming from because I was still half asleep, but I found the sound very attractive. My parents in the other room, however, didnt find it so enjoyable. To them, it was just noise. To me, the vibrant sounds of the electric guitar were inspiring. Then I began to think what life would be like without music. Is it as important in our life as water is? There is not a moment in history when there were no musical instruments. This means that we cant live without music in the way we cant live without water. But, of course, its not as critical as water. Yet water doesnt make us cry as when we listen to that special song that reminds us of a loved one or a special friend. It doesnt encourage us to dance even in the hardest times. In music, the rules arent there to limit you; on the contrary, they are a base on which you can freely build your songs. Life isnt getting any easier but music stops it from getting any harder. If we lived without the vibrations of rhythmic sound, life would be dull and dry.
