Intro Today, were going to present you a song called Sunday Bloody Sunday by the Irish rock band

U2, composed of Bono (Paul Hewson), the singer, The Edge (David Williams) at the guitar, keyboard and vocals, Adam Clayton, at the bass guitar and Larry Mullen Jr, at the drums and percussions. The song was written in 1983. It is one of the most famous songs of this band. The Rolling Stone magazine even wrote that that song showed that the band was capable of deep and meaningful songwriting.

CCL In conclusion, this song has been written as a response to the events of January 30 1972, also known as the Bloody Sunday. It is not only speaking against the British Army, but also against the Irish Republican Army, as they contributed to the massacre. Also, in 1974, Bono, the singer of U2 was on scene of an attack. Thankfully, he left the place minutes before the bomb exploded. He wrote this song a few years later in memory of this moment and of all the difficulties met by the Irish.
