DAILY LESSON PLAN Theme Topic Focus Introduction World of knowledge. Please Nat, please.

Listening and speaking This lesson focuses on listening and speaking. Activities are teacher-led where students get to say what they see on the picture. There should be a lot of encouragement for pupils to speak and share. Teachers role is to facilitate and provide a good environment for listening and speaking to happen in the classroom. 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation. 1.1.1 Able to listen and respond to stimulus given with guidance: e) alliteration 1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance. Objective By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to pronounce words which contain the phoneme /m/ and /n/. Activity 1. Pupils make the sound /m/and /n/ the sound /m/and /n/ 2. Teacher displays and introduces the alphabet m and n that make the /m/ and /n/ sound 3. Pupils repeat after the teacher, by pronouncing the word with initial /m/ and /n/ 4. Nominated pupils throw a ball at any word and all the class says the words hit. 5. Pupils select the letter m or n to complete a word chart. 6. Pupils trace the letter m and n. Teacher reads the chant with phoneme /m/ and /n/. 2.1 By the end of Year 6 primary schooling, pupils will be able to apply knowledge of sounds of letters to recognize words in linear and non-linear texts. 2.1.2 able to recognise and articulate initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable words within given context: b) m, n 2.1.3 able to blend two to four phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud. 2.1.4 Able to segment words into phonemes to spell. The main focus of this lesson is getting the pupils to write words with the phoneme /m/ and /n/ in the correct manner. 3.1 By the end of Year 6 primary schooling, pupils will be able to form letters and words in neat legible print including cursive writing. 3.1.2 Able to copy and write in neat legible print: d) words By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to: i. copy the words learnt in neat legible print.

Activity 1. Teacher writes the words learnt on the whiteboard and pupils read them in a Happy Birthday tune. 2. Teacher reads the chant, pupils repeat after the teacher. 3.
