FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 30, 2011 TWO-WEEK COURSE BOOSTS AFL SECURITY A two-week security course to train

Border Police, Army, Airport Security Officers, Customs, Immigration and Homelink was recently held at Nadi International Airport organized by AFL HomeLink provides private security services for AFL. The course was an ICAO and CAAF requirement according to AFL Chief Security Manager, Sanaila Seru and focused on essential security requirements that included learning to properly process the walk-thru Xray Machine, cabin baggage screening, especially evaluating onscreen monitoring of possible onboard prohibitive materials. Both the Transit Security Administration (TSA) of the United States and the Director of Transit Security Administration (DOTAS) of Australia recently audited security at the international airports in Nadi and Nausori and both gave high marks for the standard of security. Mr. Seru said Not only is Fiji a proven safe destination for incoming aircraft, but it has also earned the enviable reputation for ensuring that every flight that leaves this country is safe and secure - a reflection of the quality of our airport security systems.
