Argumentative essay on keeping animals in zoo's.

Belcin Radu

The word zoo is widely known to be an abbreviation of the word combination zoological garden. They were created for many reasons, like research making, recreational, conservational, and educational purposes. Many people see zoo's like as some sort of an artificial environment for the animals. Let's start by examining the pros and cons about animals that are kept in zoos. Some say that it is necessary to capture animals in order to protect them from hunters and poachers. Regarding all the reasons for why they are hunted, zoos are a safe place for them to live in. Opposed to this, it's necessary to know that animals have their own natural rights that are broken once they are placed into cages. Most of the people know that many zoo workers treat the animals cruelly. In contrast to this, zoos are becoming more and more improved and it would not be right for them to get closed because of the faulty workers. Although the conditions in which the animals are living are of high standards, the animals are still suffering because of the fact that they are still living between the zoos walls. It is important to study, protect and get endangered species to perpetuate, but most importantly is that zoos must do that without making the animals suffer. In my opinion, zoos will never be the same as an natural environment no matter how excellent are the conditions they are living in.
