#1 - THE PARTS OF A VERB

A verb may consist of one word or of several words. The verb may be composed of a main verb and one or more helping verbs. To name the verb in a sentence, you must name all parts of the verb. The words that make up a verb are sometimes separated by words that are not verbs. In the sentences below, the parts of the verb are underlined. The club has always met on Tuesdays.
