    A Prospective Pilot Twenty Four Month Clinical Trial Monitoring Calcitonin in Patients Using Victoza

    The purpose of this observational study is to determine the increment in calcitonin levels in patients treated with liraglutide (Victoza) and the incidence of medullary thyroid carcinoma in patients taking Victoza. Observations will be made to determine if there is any increase in size or number of thyroid nodules and if there is any relapse of any type of neoplasia during the time that patients are being treated with Victoza. This study is currently open for enrollment.
