I Know a Man This poem is about a man being distracted by the darkness and not paying attention to the road in front of him. This is a metaphor for humans, who sometimes too often look at the grand scheme of things instead of focusing on the present. Ferlinghetti, Lawrence. Constantly Risking Absurdity This poem tells not to care about the general opinion and just do what we think we should. It says that while we risk our own death as an artist or looked upon as absurd. And how humans are taking this perfectly balanced world called nature, and throwing it completely out of whack. Koyaanisqatsi means, Life out of Balance Gardner, John. Grendel Grendel is a rewrite of the classic Beowolf given from the antagonists, Grendels, point of view. I think this book is really about how you can be who you want to be to a certain point, but at some point you lose control over urself. Jarnot, Lisa. O Taste and See O taste and see is a poem based off a church hymn. Taste and See the goodness of the Lord is how it goes Stafford, William. Traveling through the Dark Life is what this poem focuses on, on how life is fragile and some people dont even get the chance for their life. Such as the unborn fawn in the dead deer on the side of the road. It never even had a chance. Williams, William Carlos. The Artist This poem is about Mr. T and his graceful twirls and dance moves. This poem shows that something that looks ugly could really be graceful and beautiful.
