WHO IS HE?
 Thomas Kinkade was born January 1958 & is still alive today.  Grew up in California.  Is from the United States.  Is married and has 4 daughters.

 Has initials of his family members located on a bottom corner.  Lighthouses/Cabins  Emotional  Oil paintings.  Usually of an outdoor scene, or Disney paintings.

TEN INTERESTING FACTS:

 Has painted over 1,000 pieces of artwork.  Grew up in California.  At age 22, worked for motion picture industry & created over 600 background pictures.  Attended University of California.  Left the motion picture industry in 1983 to pursue a career of Luminist Landscape painting.

 Paintings have his Wifes or childrens initials on them.  20th year as a published artist.  Known as Painter of Light.  Has Four Daughters.

FAMILY/FRIEND INFLUENCES
 Family member initials may appear on his artwork.  Mother always encouraged him. As well as hung up his art work as decorations around their home.  His devout Christianity shines through each piece with magnificent glow.

WHY THIS ARTIST?

 I chose this artist because, it is inspirational as well as good quality art work. It goes into detail, and makes the painting seem real. It is easy to picture these paintings in real life and get the feeling of that scene.
