Alien Agenda: Investigating the Extraterrestrial Presence Among Us by Jim Marrs

Intriguing Subject And Well- Researched

Alien Agenda is the silk thread leading the way through the maze of UFO literature into the heart of the UFO controversy. While he begins with the premise that the existence of UFOs cannot be denied, Jim Marrs (author of Crossfire, the mother of all John F. Kennedy assassination conspiracy books) boldly strides into the battle over what UFOs are and why they are here. Marrss investigative skills are invaluable in this re-examination of questions that have been overlooked, unaddressed, or unsatisfactorily resolved. Given the volume of UFO reports throughout modern history, the extensive field work, the thousands upon thousands of supposed sightings and events, the number of trained debunkers who have converted and become believers, and the testimony of such a great number of credible eyewitnesses, statistically speaking it is highly unlikely that ALL of them are bogus, hoaxes, or terrestrial in origin. That said, Marrs' book covers a lot of ground in a great many aspects of Ufology, from alien bases on the moon to government cover-ups to multiple eyewitness accounts to abduction stories and everything in between. The section on remote viewing is particularly fascinating. Just because we live in a modern, high-tech, scientifically sophisticated society doesn't mean we know everything. You don't know as much as you think you do and you CERTAINLY don't know everything. We've conquered scientific frontiers that would have been considered unthinkable just 50 years ago. So don't use the "well.KNEW IT!! We were SO SURE we had been right!! Imagine what else we will find that we have been wrong about as time marches on. We can't be looking in all directions at once in the hopes of catching an event as it happens.a fraction of a blink of Time's evolutionary eye. I'VE never seen one" argument when it comes to UFOs. Once you've taken that step you have opened your mind to having a rational dialogue on the topic.000 years? A million years? Again. . It's a big sky. Whether you believe the government is withholding UFO info from us is not the point. I don't believe for one minute that everything in Marrs' book is or can be true. But we are right and duty-bound to ask questions. We all believe in traffic accidents but most of us have never seen one as it happened. They may come and go all day long but most of us will never see them. I don't care if you are the most educated knowit-all in the world. a blink of an eye on the universal perspective. but I haven't taken the time to fact-check his facts. It's the wrong argument. How about a civilization 1000 years more advanced? 10. Nor could I. You don't have to believe in UFOs. That's about the only thing we can do to keep things in check. We can't make an uninterrupted search of every square mile of the skies at the same time at all times. not to mention to preserve a sense of perceived "national identity" and image. But it doesn't all have to be true. It would be foolish for the government to tell us everything because. Why is the thought of a species visiting another planet so outlandish? We've been sending probes to other planets for decades.
