Kelle Todd English 102-106 Mr. Larry Neuberger 20 February 2012 The Case of Assisted Suicide In The Case of Assisted Suicide Jack Kevorkian assisted a patient of his suffering from Alzheimer disease. In 1989, Mr. Adkins personally contacted Kevorkian to help his suffering wife. Janet and her family rapidly recognized her memory loss, with concern consoled a doctor with shocking and unwanted news, Alzheimer. .Janet was a courageous fighter, Ron and their three sons pleaded with her to reconsider and at least give a promising new therapy regimen a try. However, the treatment progressed and worsened her condition. Mr. Kevorkian contacted Janets doctor with an explanation time is of the essence and decided to accept her as his first candidate; but finding a place to accomplish assisted suicide would be the major obstacle. Going from each homeowner, doctors office and camp ground at first turned out to be nothing but a rejection. Everyone had sympathy for Janets desire but could not go forth with lending out there property, though finally a park granted her wishes using Kevorkians van. It was 2:00 P.M suddenly for the first time that, cold, dank day warm sunshine bathed the park. Janets personal decision had been granted and she no longer had to suffer. (194) Kevorkian, Jack.
