Find depth to which the suspended solids will be accumulating in the pond if cleaning is done once in 10 years? Assume that 65% of the TSS is biodegradable, the pond is removing BOD with 90% efficiency and the treated effluent from the pond has 30 mg/L of TSS. What happens if a primary clarifier is provided before the vegetated pond and it is removing BOD and TSS by 30 and 60% efficiency respectively? An activated sludge treatment plant is treating 120 m3/hour of wastewater with 800 mg/L of bCOD, 10 mg/L of TKN and 1.5 mg/L of total-P.
