Q & A SECTION

In this edition of the knowledge bulletin we decided to have an interview with one of our religious scholars, Sheikh Razi, on the 12th Imam, Imam Mahdi (ATFS). As an experienced Alim across many countries do you think Muslims have enough knowledge to fight against injustice and wrongdoers? The Muslims have more than enough knowledge to fight the injustice and to correct the wrongdoers. The majority of the Muslims know about the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who gave his life as a sacrifice to defend the justice and oppose the oppression and injustice. But, the problem is in their approach, practicality and application of their knowledge, i.e. how to rise against the injustice. That requires the piety and the fear of God alone which many do not possess. Are we as Muslims ready for the reappearance of our 12th Imam? Looking at the state of the Muslim Ummah definitely the entire nation is not ready. But the good news is that the Holy appearance will not depend on the preparation of the entire nation but a few righteous ones who will consider the obedience of the 12th Imam (AS) obedience to Allah (SWT). They will obey him even if he asks them to kill themselves they will do so without any hesitation, such as the example of HAROON ALMAKKI who went inside the burning oven by the command of the Imam Sadiq (A.S). What should be done to make those who arent ready to be ready for the reappearance of our Holy Imam (ATFS)? There are three things they can do: a. Piety and safe guard their piety from the traps of the devil and his plots, because he will not leave a pious person alone in his piety, he put all his efforts to deviate him. Therefore the piety is not enough, guarding the piety is more important than the piety which can go easily by falling into the temptations of the devil and his plots by committing the forbidden acts which makes us away from our Imam (ATFS) b. Education which leads to the recognition of the Imam Mahdi (ATFS), and that comes by knowing about Imam Mahdi (ATFS) and raising that knowledge to the level of MARIFAT or recognition by expressing various forms of Love of our Imam (AF) and being an obedient servant to him, serving him in his occultation as he is around and appeared, because he lives and benefits us as the sun benefits the earth even if the clouds conceal it. c. Performing Duas, and rituals which makes us closer to our beloved Imam (ATFS) such as Dua NUDBAH, the pledge of allegiance, the visitation of the Imam (ATFS) Do you think these Hawza summer and winter camps are proving helpful in the preparation of our youths? If these camps are properly managed to nurture and build our beloved youngsters, spiritually, academically, and morally then yes indeed they are doing amazing job in preparing them for the coming of our beloved Imam Mahdi (ATFS). Do you think that parents and guardians of respective youths are doing enough to prepare their children for the reappearance of the Mahdi (ATFS)? I have personally seen some parents they are doing amazing job, especially some mothers they have this great attachment for the Imam (ATFS) and they will do all what it takes to see their children be from the best supporters of the Imam (ATFS).

When Allah permits us to speak, truth will prevail and falsehood will vanish. (Bihar, V.53, p196)

We should pray for the safety of the Imam (ATFS) and ask Allah (SWT) to hasten his reappearance

THE 313
Whenever we think of the 12th Imam, we pray for his safety and pray to be of his companionsthe 313. These 313 companions will be people of eminent piety, great knowledge and be absolutely steadfast in their determination and faith towards the Imam and will be the true Shia. Indeed, they will be at a sublime level of excellent morals and character. Imagine ourselves in the Imams troops, the men fighting for justice, the women cooking, taking care and motivating. Imagine us being granted this holy position when the Imam reappears. Wont it be amazing! Well be standing up for our religion and striving for justice in the world which has chaos surrounding it. Innocent people getting killed. Muslims being blamed as terrorists, innocent little children getting killed, financial differences between the rich and the poor, racism, families being torn apartAll this will come to an end! We all want to have a place in the 313.These 313 will be the companions of the Imam as he reappears and will help him in performing his tasks. Imam Mohammad Taqi (A.S) declared, Allah will gather his followers around him. Their number will be 313, the same as the companions of Badr. They will gather from different parts of the earth. And this is the exegesis of Allahs Words, wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together; surely Allah has power over all things. (Surah Baqarah, Verse148) How will they gather? When our Al Qaem (ATFS) will establish himself, Allah will gather the people of the East and West. These people will come together in one place in the same manner as the leaves gather in one place in autumn. Imam Mohammad Baqir (a.s) informs, From different parts of the land his i.e the Imam(ATFS) Shias will access him as the land will shrink for them. When they reach to him, they shall pay their allegiance to him. (Kitab al-Irshad, pg. 341, Muntakhab Al Asar, pg. 198)From such traditions, it is apparent that the companions of Imam Mahdi (ATFS) will come from different parts of the Earth to him. Some will come in the nights while they are in their beds and in the morning they shall be with Imam (ATFS). Some will reach the Imam (ATFS) with the batting of an eyelid, while some others shall travel with the help of the shrinking earth. It could be that all 313 companions shall reach with the batting of an eyelid and while others shall reach Imam (ATFS) through different ways.

We should stand up whenever his name is called as a sign of respect

These differences can be possible due to the varied levels of their faith. Some of them will even walk on water. When they will reach the sea seashore, they will write something on their feet and then they will walk on it. (Behaarul Anwaar, vol.52, pg. 327, tradition 43) What will they help the Imam in? Establishing justice and equality in the whole world. Whenever there is mention of the auspicious reappearance of Imam Mahdi (ATFS), the following sentence comes to mind instantly: He will fill the earth with justice and equality as it would have been filled with oppression and injustice. So one critical task that Imam (ATFS) shall perform on his reappearance is the establishment of justice and equality in the whole world. In numerous Quranic verses, traditions and supplications, several other objectives have been outlined. As Mentioned in Dua-e-Nudba,( This is one of the most important and authentic supplications, has been strongly recommended for recitation on Fridays.) Renewal of the religious obligations and recommended acts (Sunnah). Well-being of the people and the Islamic Shariah. Safe keeping the limits of the Holy Quran. Safeguarding religion and the religious people. Putting an end to despots and suppressive regimes. Destruction of polytheism and evil. Annihilation of sinners. End of opposition to religion. Termination of liars, accusers and egoists. Respect and pride for the friends and putting to shame and disheartening the enemies. Inviting the people towards piety and devoutness. Uniting the scattered ones. What should we do to be his companions? In the waiting period for our Imam,it is our duty to: Be a true Shia and perform all the wajibats and sunnahs with a true heart. We should not perform any bad act that would cause us not being one of the 313. Stand up for our religion. Let not others get oppressed. Having a sense of equality within one another.
Zameena Yusufali

We should keep away from people who take us away from the remembrance of the Imam (ATFS)

STORIES ON IMAM MAHDI (ATFS)

IMAM MAHDI AND THE HOLY KAABA Once there was a little girl who had gone to Hajj with her mother. When the time came to circumambulate the Kaaba she went with her mother to perform the rituals. When the crowd was so big and there was too much congestion she lost her mother while they were going to perform the rituals. She sat down and started crying for her mother to return to her. She raised her little hands to the sky and cried out sorrowfully O Imam al-Mahdi, rescue me. O you, the Expected Imam help me out. Suddenly she heard a voice which was calling her by her name. She raised her head and saw a handsome man in white Ihraam who was standing before her. The stranger said: little girl rise and circumambulate Holy Kaaba. The little girl said: But I do not know how to circumambulate. Moreover, I cannot circumambulate Holy Kaaba alone among this crowd. The stranger said: Come with me and act just as I do. Thus she rose and circumambulated Holy Kaaba along with 12th Imam, Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS). When they circumambulated Holy Kaaba for the seventh time the stranger told the girl, Dear little girl! Your mother and friends are there. So hurry up and join them. She looked that way. Yes, he was right. Her mother was among the women standing there in with dresses, she recognized her mother at first sight so she turned to the stranger to thank him, but had disappeared. She looked everywhere, but she could not find him and thus she ran to her mother, embraced her and kissed her face. Her mother said: Where were you, O my daughter? I was so anxious about you that I was about to give up! The little girl quite happily explained whatever had happened to her. When she finished speaking, her mother took her in her arms and began to cry. She then said: O my dear daughter! You called your 12th Imam, Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) and the Imam helped you. You really met the Expected Imam. The girl couldnt believe it and so she finished her Hajj very happily.

IMAM MAHDI(ATFS) AND ALLAMA MAJLISI(R.A)

During Allama Majlisis time, there was a death of an almost expecting mother. The people were confused as to what should be done. Bury her with the child in her womb or take the child out and bury the lady?? They went to an Aalim of that time that is Allama Majlisi. Allama Majlisi made a judgment by saying that the child should be buried with the mother. So the people decided to do what he said. On their way to the burial grounds a horseman approached them and told them that there was a change of plans. Allama Majlisi said that the child should be delivered first then the mother should be buried. They did that at the way the horseman explained. After a few years Allama Majlisi was visited by a man with a small child. The man told Allama Majlisi that this was the same child that had been cut from his mother after Allama Majlisi had sent the horseman telling the people that he had changed his instructions. Allama immediately realized that the horseman must have been Imam al-Mahdi (as) who had come to his help, preventing him making a grave mistake. From that day Allama Majlisi stayed in his house refusing to give anymore advice to the people, in case he made another mistake. In a few days he received a letter from Imam al-Mahdi (as) telling him that he should not worry and should continue to guide the people. If by any chance he made a mistake, Imam al-Mahdi (as) would come to his help and solve the problem.

POEMS ON IMAM MAHDI (ATFS)

We wait, but the fate has not been chosen, if you are late with your prayers, there would be no doubt, you could be left out. Prey and Do your duty, if not, you will be guilty, Strive and feel free, Shake hands with a person who did good, Clap louder who did something great, dont hesitate and smile. Waiting is not the answer, the answer may not be there, but dont stop finding, its not always good to find the answer so suddenly. If you want to fly with wings, you have to sacrifice, look to yourself, the time is about to come, you could be too late, if not now, you will be left out. The Great 12th Imam Mohammad Al-Mahdi (ATFS), shall arrive, but thats not the point, Do Good deeds, and it shall feed. Its up to us, the Children are the future, be their role model, if not, then dont be surprised what would happen. Hes waiting for us, we are waiting for him, if you dont change, you will be left out, and you will be dealt with. Extracted from shiachat.com

HEALTH TIPS
Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods. You need more than 40 different nutrients for good health, and no single food supplies them all. Your daily food selection should include bread and other whole-grain products; fruits; vegetables; dairy products; and meat, poultry, fish and other protein foods. How much you should eat depends on your calorie needs. Use the Food Guide Pyramid and the Nutrition Facts panel on food labels as handy references. Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Surveys show most Americans dont eat enough of these foods. Do you eat 6-11 servings from the bread, rice, cereals and pasta group, 3 of which should be whole grains? Do you eat 2-4 servings of fruit and 3-5 servings of vegetables? If you dont enjoy some of these at first, give them another chance. Look through cookbooks for tasty ways to prepare unfamiliar foods. Maintain a healthy weight. The weight thats right for you depends on many factors including your sex, height, age and heredity. Excess body fat increases your chances for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some types of cancer and other illnesses. But being too thin can increase your risk for osteoporosis, menstrual irregularities and other health problems. If youre constantly losing and regaining weight, a registered dietitian can help you develop sensible eating habits for successful weight management. Regular exercise is also important to maintaining a healthy weight. Eat moderate portions. If you keep portion sizes reasonable, its easier to eat the foods you want and stay healthy. Did you know the recommended serving of cooked meat is 3 ounces, similar in size to a deck of playing cards? A medium piece of fruit is 1 serving and a cup of pasta equals 2 servings. A pint of ice cream contains 4 servings. Refer to the Food Guide Pyramid for information on recommended serving sizes.

perfect. When eating a food high in fat, salt or sugar, select other foods that are low in these ingredients. If you miss out on any food group one day, make up for it the next. Your food choices over several days should fit together into a healthy pattern. Know your diet pitfalls. To improve your eating habits, you first have to know whats wrong with them. Write down everything you eat for three days. Then check your list according to the rest of these tips. Do you add a lot of butter, creamy sauces or salad dressings? Rather than eliminating these foods, just cut back your portions. Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? If not, you may be missing out on vital nutrients. Make changes gradually. Just as there are no superfoods or easy answers to a healthy diet, dont expect to totally revamp your eating habits overnight. Changing too much, too fast can get in the way of success. Begin to remedy excesses or deficiencies with modest changes that can add up to positive, lifelong eating habits. For instance, if you dont like the taste of skim milk, try low-fat. Eventually you may find you like skim, too. Remember, foods are not good or bad. Select foods based on your total eating patterns, not whether any individual food is good or bad. Dont feel guilty if you love foods such as apple pie, potato chips, candy bars or ice cream. Eat them in moderation, and choose other foods to provide the balance for good health.

Surely, I am indeed the (cause of) security for the inhabitant of the earth. (Bihar, V 53 p181)

WOMENS SECTION
The Role of Women in the Uprising of Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS) The first thing we need to note before we come to the roles of women is that in the army of Dajjal there will not only be bad and unfaithful people but also there will be among them, women who had experienced hardships in preserving their faith, and would have been profoundly affected by the state of affairs prior to the advent (Zuhur). Some women would possess firmness of stance and jihad-like spirits, and wherever they go, they would expose the inhuman essence of the Dajjal as part of their propaganda war against him. The number of women present in the army of imam in many Hadith is different. Therefore lets note that the number is unknown. All these women will have a very special role to play in the army. Their role will be to attend to the sick and help the wounded men of the army. They will do everything concerning the medical treatment to the men of the army. These women will be the most pious of women on the surface of the earth. Mufaddal bin Umar said: Imam as-Sadiq (a) said: Thirteen women will accompany Al Qaim. I asked: What will they be doing and what role will they play? He replied: They will treat the wounded and attend to the sick just like what the (female) companions of the Messenger of Allah (S) were doing....... The Historical Background of Siyanah Siyanah is one of the promised women who will accompany Imam Al Qaim in his mission, nevertheless there are many others. Her historical background: How or why did she become the one of the women who will accompany Imam (ATFS). It is found in history that Siyanah was the wife of Hizqayl and hairdresser of the daughter of Pharaoh. They both believed in one God and Musa as his messenger. Siyanah and Hizqayal hid their faith for their own security. She used to work as a hairdresser in the palace of Pharaoh. One day, she unintentionally said Bismillah and the harem of pharaoh heard her and asked her if she worshipped her father? She answered No, but I do worship the One Who has created your father and will take him away. Pharaohs daughter hurriedly went to her father and told him everything that had happened. The pharaoh ordered that Siyanah and her children to be burnt alive. At the moment when they wanted to take her sucking baby in her arms and throw him into the fire, Siyanah was moved and became inclined to disavow her religion when suddenly, by the decree of God, the child spoke and said to its mother: O mother! Be patient for you are on the right path. The soldiers of Pharaoh threw Siyanah and her sucking child into the fire and burned them alive. Their ashes were poured into the ground and until the Day of Resurrection this ground will have this pleasant scent She is among the women who will be revived and returned to the world and render service under the command of Imam al-Mahdi (ATFS).

As for deriving benefit from me in my occultation is like deriving benefit from the sun when it hides behind the clouds.(Bihar, V.53, p 181)

IMAM HUSAYN (A.S)

Imam Hussain (A.S.) was born on the 3rd of Shaban, 4th Hijrah in Medinah Munawarra. His father was Imam Ali (A.S.) and mother was Bibi Fatimah (S.A.). When the Prophet (S.A.W.) heard the news of Imam Hussains birth he became very happy and came to the house of his daughter Bibi Fatimah (S.A.). Asma, the maid of Bibi Fatema (S.A) covered the child in a white cloth and brought him to the Prophet (S.A.W.). The Prophet (S.A.W.) picked the child up in his lap and recited the Adhaan in his right ear and Iqamah in the left one. He apparently, made the ears of his son familiar and acquainted with the name of Allah (SWT) for the first time. On the seventh day of the birth, an angel came from Allah (SWT) and he said, Just as Haroon (A.S) was the brother, sympathizer, and helper in each and every difficulty of Musa (A.S) similarly, Ali (A.S.) is your sympathizer, helper and brother in each and every matter of yours. Therefore, keep the name of this child upon the name of Haroons son Shabbir, which when translated into Arabic becomes Hussain. Thus the name of the second child of Fatimah (S.A.) was also selected by Allah (SWT). On the 7th day of the birth Bibi Fatimah (S.A.) got a sheep slaughtered as the Aqeeqa and distributed its meat among the needy and poor. The Prophet (S.A.W.) quite often hugged Imam Hussain (A.S.) taking him into his lap and used to weep bitterly, saying, A very big tragedy will be met by my grandson Hussain. The brutals and bloody men of the Bani Ummayah will slay my dear grandson. I will not intercess and mediate for them on the dooms day. The Love of the Prophet (S.A.W.) The Prophet (S.A.W.) loved Imam Hussain (A.S.) very much. His companion Salman Farsi describes, I saw that the Prophet (S.A.W.) had picked up Imam Hussain (A.S.) upon his knee and was kissing him saying, Oh son, you are the Imam, son of Imams and father of nine Imams, who would be from your generation and the last one of them is Mehdi. One can estimate and guess the amount of love the Prophet had with Imam Hussain (A.S.) from this sentence of his Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain. The one who is the friend of Hassan and Hussain is my friend and the one who is their enemy, is my enemy. Imam Hussain (A.S.) the Best Helper of his Father and Brother Imam Hussain (A.S.) spent six years of his life with his grandfather the Prophet (S.A.W.) and thirty years along with his honorable father Imam Ali (A.S.). He shared each and every problem and grief of his father. He always defended his father. Once he went to the mosque and saw Umar delivering a speech on the tribune of his grandfather. He immediately said, Get down from the tribune of my grandfather and father. What have you got to do over there? During the reign of his father, Imam Hussain (A.S.) playing upon his life used to be busy defending Islam and fighting against the tyrants and brutal. He fought against the enemies by the side of his father like his brother Imam Hassan al Mujtaba (A.S.) in the battles of Jamal, Siffeen, and Naharwan. He, after the martyrdom of his father, legally took the oath of allegiance for his brother and accepted him his leader and Imam. And whenever someone asked him a question he used to send him towards Imam Hassan (A.S.). And wherever he deemed suitable he himself would give the answer. Briefly speaking, he considered the defense of his brother something necessary for himself.

I seek refuge in Allah from blindness after vision. (Bihar V 53 pg 191)

HADHRAT ABBAS (A.S)

Al-Abbas, was the first child of Ummul Baneen. With his birth, Medina shone and the whole world glittered. Waves of pleasures flowed in the family of Ali (A.S), for the birth of their magnificent moon that would light this world with his merits, and would add immortal glory to the numerous glories of the Hashimites. As soon as Imam Ali (a) was given the good news of the birth of this blessed child, he hurried to take him, kissed him frequently, and held the Shariite ceremonies of newborns. The Imam (A.S) recited the Adhaan in his newborns right ear and recited the Iqamah in the left. Hence, the first voice that penetrated this great newborns hearing was his fathers voice. These great words, which are the message of all prophets and the melody of all the Godfearing, found a ground in the inner self of al-Abbas(A.S). They, later on, became the most significant elements of his personality. In his future, he would adopt the calling to the true application of these words for which he would lose all his limbs. On the seventh day of birth, Imam Ali (a) shaved the newborns hair and gave golden and silver alms as weighty as the cut hair. As he had done to al-Hasan and al-Hussein, Imam Ali (a) slaughtered a ram as offering to Allah (SWT) on behalf of his son. These practices are adopted from the Prophet (SAWW) whose words, practices, and confirmations are regarded as an authoritative ground, altogether with the Holy Quran, for Muslims. Historians have confirmed that al-Abbas was born on the fourth of Shaban, 26 A.H. Al-Abbas was called Abul Fadhl (father -or owner- of virtue). As a matter of fact, this name represents his personality completely, because he was the owner, leader, and source of virtue. In his life, he was so open handed that he used to distribute his virtue and charity on everyone who directed to him. After martyrdom, he is the shelter and refuge of everyone who seeks his help. Most surely, Allah(SWT) will relieve him who directs to Him and implores to Him by using Abul Fadhl as his means and intercessor. Because of its commonness, this fact is undeniable. Al-Abbas was also called Abu-Qirba (the owner of the skin of water) because he carried water to the haram of Imam al-Hussein (A.S) during the battle of at-Taff. He was also called Abul Qasim. Jabir al-Ansari addressed to al-Abbas during the Ziyarah of al-Arbaeen: Salaam be upon you, Abul-Qasim. Salaam be upon you, al-Abbas ibn Ali. Undoubtedly, Jabir was that great personality who spent much of his time in the house of prophecy and Imamate; therefore, he was more knowledgeable than others in the secrets, affairs, and news of this Holy House.

IMAM SAJJAD (A.S)

The faithful persons are those whose hearts are serene by the remembrance of Allah (SWT), Remembrance of Allah certainly creates serenity in hearts ( Sura al Rad verse 28). One of those meaningful and constructive aspects of the positive dimensions of MAN is INVOCATION and having communication with Allah. Invocation builds up human character. At the time of invocation, Man asks God to connect Him with the best kind of virtues. Invocation thus is a huge university in which Man is taught the best courses on Man as he is and Man as he should be. The distinguished one among the worshippers, the sire of prayers, the expert of philosophers, the unique among performers of nocturnal devotion Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S) who in his book, Sahifa e Sajjadiya taught the world dwellers whatever is necessary for human growth and perfection. Sahifah is the scale of pure and impure, right and wrong, light and darkness, life and death, the world here and the hereafter, and health and disease. So invocation is a compulsory act.(S. 40 V.60). It is not a command but a request from a beggar from the Great Rich, from the Benevolent and the Most Merciful. Imam Sajjad our 4th Imam (A.S) was born on Thursday, in the significant month of Shaban in 38A.H, 2 years prior to the martydom of Imam Ali (A.S) in Medina from a generous father, Imam Hussein (A.S) and a benevolent mother Bibi Sherbanu (A.S). Imam Sajjad(A.S) is called Zainul Abideen because our Prophet (SAWW) said, on the Resurrection Day a caller would call, Where is the ornament of the worshippers? Yunadi Manadi Oyun Zainul Abideen? He spent his time in supplication and prayers and his worship to Allah was free from fear. Imam Sadiq says, When Imam Sajjad was engaged in prayers in an unprecedented manner, he looked yellow due to lack of sleep. It seems his eyes had burnt due to excessive weeping. His forehead was wounded because of the repeated prostrations. His legs were hurt because of much standing.

(Allah) sent Mohammad (s.a.w.s) as a mercy unto the worlds and completed his bounties. Through him. (Bihar V 53 pg 194)

Imam Sajjad narrated, A group of people worship Allah out of their fear of chastisement, this is the worship of slaves and the coward servants. Some worship Allah for the love to arrive at the Heaven, this is the work of businessmen, and finally a group worship him to thank him and because he deserves to be worshipped, this is the worship of free men. The elegant Sahifah through the heavenly heart of Imam Sajjad and then through the steady pen of Imam Baqir and Imam Sadiq was submitted to the Men of virtues, and now we possess it. Anybody who wishes to attain human race and divine positions should refer to this valuable source. Our Imams have left us sources through which we can worship, not sin and also understand the realities of religion. But do we use these sources? Knowingly, unknowingly we commit sins in our daily lives. The sin which cannot be pardoned even when begging for it is the TYRANNY ON FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS, which has an extreme penalty. Those who commit cruelty against their fellow human beings, harming them by their tongues, hands and practice, putting to the miseries and afflictions by them are not susceptible to redemption unless they are punished for it. So my fellow readers, let us ponder over our souls, as to why do we sin? For what do we sin? Why we hurt each other and be jealous? Islam is based on purification, let us wash our souls not with the most expensive soap but with the fountain of Sahifa e Sajjadiya and Nahjul Balagha. Then no filth will remain in our souls. Imam Sajjad spent 57 years of his precious life encountering disasters, hazards, hardships and pains. But due to his prayers, supplication and invocations, he defeated the waves of disasters. So let us not be proud to engage ourselves in invocations, as mental disturbances, anxieties and worries can only heal through supplications, as mans science can heal material wounds but not mental or spiritual calamities . By Mrs Sherbanu M Alishan Dedicated to Marhum Mohammed Alishan

Surely, the earth can never be void of a divine proof, whether, he is seen or hidden. (Bihar V 53 pg 91)

SCIENCE SECTION !

In the coming issues we are going to discover ASTRONOMY IN THE QURAN. When I think about astronomy, the first thing that used to come into my mind was star wars! The orbits of planets, the sun moon and etc. have we ever thought about how all this came to be?? Or if we knew that, did we ever try and think about what Islam says about it??? Well some people think Islam is just rules and rules but actually the knowledge bulletin and many others who are actually interested have discovered that our religion is actually really interesting and has almost everything to do with science. Thats how we come back to the statement that the Quran is a miraculous book and Allah is the true creator of all things and that Islam is a true religion as it talked about it 1400 years ago and it was just discovered by science some centuries ago. Truly, the Quran is a miracle. The knowledge bulletins science section will prove really interesting facts and topics that are actually linked to the holy Quran. Astronomy in Islam will go through three main topics. Namely: THE BIG BANG THEORY. MOON LIGHT IS REFLECTED LIGHT. THE SUN ROTATES. NOTE: ALL THESE TOPICS WILL BE LINKED TO THE QURAN.

The thanks giving prostration is amongst the most necessary and obligatory Sunnah. (Bihar V 53 pg 161)

THE BIG BANG THEORY:

This actually came to being in the 1920s. The knowledge bulletin has chosen this topic is because the Quran has talked about it but does not approve the whole statement. Read more to find out the connection A theory is not a fact therefore it is not proven universally by scientists. That theory basically explains that the universe was initially one big mass, the there was a secondary explosion or rather a big boom!! This hence caused separation of that big mass into many things such as the planets, stars, galaxies, meteorsand many more heavenly bodies. Surah Anbiyaa(21):30: Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? The above verse explains everything. clove them asunder- literally means tear them apart or broke them apart in other words the main word to hold here is expansion. Why expansion?? Well, that refers to the separation of the big mass i.e. all torn apart from one big mass. Remember the Quran does not support this

Then each one of you should do those deeds which bring you closer to our love. (Bihar, V. 53, p 176)
