RE: THREATS TO ASSASSINATE ADVOCATE EDWIN IGENGE (ROLL NO.1387) FOR BEING A DEFENCE COUNSEL IN CRIMINAL CASE NO 59/2012 BEFORE HON MKWAWA RMINCHARGE Dear President of our Valued TLS. Reference is being made to the above subject. I, Edwin Igenge Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania therefore a substantive member of TLS..I have been representing my clients one Ramadhani Shaa and David Sechome in a crimnal case No.59 / 2011 at Temeke District Court pending before Mkwawa RM incharge of the said court. Two weeks ago my clients reported to me that they were receiving sms from their employer who is the complainant in the criminal case herein stated ,soliciting them to disqualify me as their counsel in the stated case so that

they can conspire with their boss to get me killed.At first I ignored the information till when I received the sms through my phone from mobile no.0757084693 I wish to quote all the smsz herein below for your quick references:

Stela habari yako?Nakuomba uachane na Wakili Igenge katika kesi dhidi yenu ukingangania utafungwa .Igenge ni mtu hatari kwa idara ya chapa sipati usingizi kwa ajili yake.Kesi nitakufuatia wewe tu haitafika mwezi mei na kukurudisha kazini mara moja na bila masharti ila NAOMBA USHIRIKIANO WAKO TUMUMALIZE IGENGE,NIKO TAYARI HATA KUMUUA KWA UCHAWI AU RISASI NITASHUKURU UKINIONESHA SEHEMU ANAYOISHI HAPA DAR AU OFISINI KWAKE.Nitawaiteni ofisini chapa wewe na mmeo nikuombe msamaha na tupange mikakati juu ya Bw.Igenge..NAOMBA UTUNZE SIRI. HII NI NAMBA YANGU YA SIRI USIMPE MTU YOYOTE(.).Ujumbe huu ulitumwa kwa BI.Stela kupitia mtandao wake wa tigo namba 0656620227 tarehe 23/03/2012 saa 1:45:20 jioni. WAKILI IGENGE NAKUPA SIKU 7 UWE UMEJITOA KUWATETEA WEZI WA MALI ZA IDARA YA MPIGACHAPA WA SERIKALI,AKINA RAMA NA SECHOME KATIKA SHAURI LA JINAI DHIDI YAO LILILO MBELE YA MHESHIMIWA HAKIMU MKWAWA.UKINGANGANIA KUENDELEA KUWATETEA KAMA WAKILI WAO TUTAKUFANYIA VISA MBALIMBALI IKIWEMO KUKUTEKA NA KUKUUA KAMA MNYAMA ASIYE NA THAMANI HAPA DUNIANI NA MAITI YAKO HAITAONEKANA KAMWE.TAFADHALI ZINGATIA. Therefore following the above threatening smsz I reported the matter to Dar es Salaam central police on 25/03/2012 in the evening where the police had opened RB and investigation report file namely CD/RB/30642012 and CD/IR/1353/2012.The police force is still investigating the case the culprit is not yet arrested. I hereby bring this matter to you only for information to note and act if you can. Sincerely,
